Exposed by his fourth 1-1 in a row?

One of the main reasons that Jett is dominating is simply Johnny-O. His style looks johnnyo-ish but a little taller. Feet on the pegs, balanced and centered on the bike, etc.

All he needs are some gators and viola.

You're right, Dungey is better than JS7.

Exposed his ability to win from behind as well as from the front.

Stats don't lie, and I don't hate either of them.

By most objective measures Dungey was a more successful racer than Stewart.

Jett is amazing and it’s sad that people hate to see it. Poor “fans”

I’ve been waiting for someone awesome to watch since MC RC JS and RV. Finally we have him. 🍿

it was sad Ricky couldn't understand the difference between hating Jett (which few do) and hating the broadcast blowing the lawrences 24/7 (same with deegan). two different things.

Moto 1 - Jett falls, Kenny has a 9 sec gap.  6 laps later he passed Kenny back and when Kenny falls he’s over 2 secs ahead.

Moto 2 - Jett gets stuck behind AP when he falls, gap to Kenny is 10.7 secs.  Jet passes for the lead on lap 11 and by the final lap gap is 6.3 secs.

Roczen was clearly better than the other factory riders yet Jett put 11 secs on Kenny in moto 1 and 17 secs in moto 2.

And still went 1-1…

That there folks is the facts!!

That really wasn't the question though. Of course Dungey had a more successful career as a racer, and he did it by being Ryan Dungey

I like Jett,  He's awesome to watch, looks like he's trail riding but is going fast fast fast.

But;   big but, realistically besides besting Sexton and Roczen in two races, the only guy he has beaten consistently in the top 10 last year is Plessinger,  who finished the season in 7th.

Now we know Sexton was pretty banged up at Pala and likely had Mono, and a part time Roczen off the couch, who really hasn't been healthy in years and is full of surgically replaced cadaver parts a, recently tweaked knee and a wrist brace.

This doesn't mean I think Jett is a dud, he clearly smokes the field while looking like he is trail riding. But lets not pretend he has been beating any of the best guys on anything close to their best days. He's not. He's beating one top 10 guy from last year consistently. That guy is Plessinger, who last year finished the season in 7th.

I should’ve made this post a poll with a simple yes or no. lol

Guys are like, “he went 1-1, that’s some next level shit” uhh no it’s not. You can’t tell me that Roczen coming in doing as well as he did and the circumstances of the series, if you’re being objective, didn’t make you think that maybe Jett’s not as next level as I thought? That’s all I was asking.
I think Jett is great and great for the sport, but to go ahead and put him at the top of Mt Rushmore is premature.

Bottom line is Jett handed a fit, fighting Roczen his arse on a gnarly track, and came from behind to do it.

Jett 2. Kenny 0.

Roczen handily beat the other factory riders except Ferrandis in moto 2.  Both motos he had 10+/- sec lead over Jett; both times Jett ran him down and gapped him.

Some conjecture for thought:

If Jett wins this title (likely), and has 10 overall wins (possible), he will equal Chad Reed and Kevin Windham for 450 class outdoor wins, and equal Stewart for 450 class titles.

Kenny gave differing accounts of why he turned up.

It's pretty obvious that his intention was to knock Jett off.

James Stewart was looked upon as next level and RC, RV and RD5 exposed him as not, so until someone comes along that can beat Jett Lawrence, he's going to be looked upon as actual Next Level.  He wiped out the 250 class, won at the MXON on a 450 and is unbeaten in his rookie season in the AMA MX 450 class.   Nobody has ever come into the 450 class this fast and dominant and makes it look easy.    Bad start by Jett Lawrence and coming through the field to try to catch up to McGrath, RC, RV or James Stewart, he probably would be beat, but considering he's only going to get better he has to be looked upon as Next Level.  I think if there was any comparison at all, you'd have to look at McGrath's rookie season in SX 250 and Carmichael in MX 250, lots of wins, but not perfect and they were both considered Generational racers.

Geezus, RC said in the broadcast yesterday that’s Jett will break all the records, even his! The kid hasn’t even lined up for a 450 SX yet! But he’s going to break all the records! Okay 👌🏼

This is the "Malcolm in the whoops" of stupid posts.

He has won every 450 race he entered, what more can he do?

No one has ever entered the premier class at his age and won their first 8 races. Don't say David Bailey because by the time he hit 500's they weren't the premier class, and he was already a SX champion in the premier (only) class.

"But but but but, he isn't racing against good competition (wipes tear.)"

Dylan: 250/450 outdoor champion

Webb: 250 SX/Outdoor champion 450 sx champion x2

AP: 250 SX/Outdoor champion

Kenny: 250 World champion 250 SX champion 450 Outdoor champion x2

It's not like he is beating scrubs.

Stop whining about it and enjoy the chance that you are watching history.

I am not sure jetts next level is not able to be copied.  In fact chase is very close in style and i feel the main difference is line choice.  If chase watches jett,  and catches on to his somewhat subtle difference in choosing lines he will be right there.  Webb was commenting on it,  that he was learning following jett.  You may lose a little here and there avoiding the tough lines,  but make it up later,  not being as tired and having the ability to send it at the end.  Which is exactly what jett did in moto 2

It's a place for one person in particular to vent his JDS.

All the while pretending to straddle the fence in order to hide his affliction.

He claims 107 post.

Half of them are his.

Haha, when people can’t have an educated debate, they resort to insults and name calling. Y’all act like I said Jett sucks and will never make it ! I guess some can’t comprehend the original question and have a sensible debate about it.
