He looked off, like he was about to breakdown & cry. Did something happen?

He lost... Unlike most here that are familiar with losing, it doesn't sit well with some.

He should be used to it by now or have he won much since he turned pro?

He probably felt he had the speed to win but couldn't make it happen. That's a tough pill to swallow for riders like Deegan. Also, the dude is 17 so he's probably emotional as fuck. We all were at 17.

What?

You said he was upset because he thought he had the speed to win and didn't. If that was the case he was upset because he was wrong and didn't have the speed.

You need to watch the race. You're obsession with Deegan is clouding your judgement.

RJ passed him 4 corners from the finish on the last lap of Moto 1. Bummer for Deegan, RJ was definitely faster that Moto to his credit.

It's just the opposite. It's the Deeganites minds that are clouded. What I saw was in the first moto RJ was pulling on him anytime he was not on the ground. The seconds moto Hymas had the fastest lap. Danger Deegan was 7th fastest based on best lap time and finished 6th, 30 seconds back. Only in Deegan World is that the speed to win.

When you get beaten and cry about it, I don’t like those people one bit they are spoiled rats. You should focus on the next race. Doesn’t matter wich age you are. Well below 10 years is acceptable. But 17 that’s not a nice personality to have

No shit lol. Grown ass men continuously being upset that a 17yo rookie is doing this well right out of the amateur ranks.   At his age I would love to have had the skills and be in the position that Deegan is in now.

I didn't see any indication that Haiden was going to cry or was upset. The kid just rode his ass off in pretty tough conditions and finished 3rd on the podium. I'm pretty sure he already stated that this year is a learning curve for him and he's glad to already be in the top group of riders.

Deegan rides with a champion's heart. There will be titles in his near future, no doubt!

True, first moto RJ was clearly faster, but it is a bit of a miracle he didn't crash more. In all cases that made a nice battle for the win.

Second moto I guess you didn't notice it but Deegan was down in the first corner, he came back from last. After 5 minutes he was already 14th but 27 seconds down. He finished 28 seconds down. So over 30 minutes of racing, while in traffic (and on a track it was not easy to pass), he lost only 1 second on the lead. Haiden put on a big charge the first 15 minutes to come back to 8th, with RJ just behind, and that may have gases them a bit. Then the leaders were gone. Yet Deegan puts 35 seconds on RJ, and comes back 6th only 2 seconds behind Hymas who got the holeshot, 8 seconds behind Kitchen, 9 behind Shimoda and 10 behind Vialle in P2. What else do you really want from a rookie tbh ? With a great start there is no reason to think that he didn't have the chance to battle upfront for the win or for a podium as the first moto.

Anyway I am just pointing out facts and numbers so the people who don't like him won't like this post as usual. Then about the press conference, for me it seems like a no deal as it can be anything, being late to the airport, thinking about set ups, or thinking about his brother Huckson who apparently had a bad crash recently (no release on the injury yet and it is rumored to be a bad one).

The Deegan haters can’t handle the facts that you posted. The kid had first turn crash, started last, then he caught the guy that got the holeshot. I feel sorry for some of these tools.

In the first moto, Haiden beat the eventual overall winner by 20 seconds. Quit being so emotional and use your head.

He just graduated. He is probably missing his favorite teachers and school lunches. Perhaps his favorite class and all his friends.

He is only 17 years old he has an extreme desire to win and gives it 100% from start/finish. There are a few 450 Factory riders who could take some lessons from this kid. He has winning speed and finished 3rd, he had a reason to be upset

Winning practice counts now?

BUT did he really even win? That's another conversation in itself.
