I usually chuckle at people when they say that and take them out to the track. If they still have the same thinking hand them some gear show em the clutch ,1 down and 5 up and let em go. If they haven't shit their pants ,broke a bone or have a bloody elbow they are hooked and the cycle continues........

I got an "F" for a study i did in "Outdoor Education" on motocross....... After presenting it to the class my teacher told me it is not a sport and there is no physical energy spent you just sit there and steer.
This was way back in the early nineties when i was in High School.

I had a buddy that told me that when I was at a race. I got him set up in some gear and sent him out during one of the 5 lap practices you get before a race. He came in coughing and weezing, sweating and scared shitless after two laps. Never heard a word about it again.
