At one of the first Pala Nationals there was a dude selling bumper stickers made as replicas of that exact sign. Bought about $20 worth of ‘em!

I just want to know what happened to the light airplane that was crashed and left there besides the entrance track for quite a few years. First time I went there, and saw it, it was a WTF? moment.
They melted it down to make crack pies for the homeless.
No self respecting crackhead uses metal pipes.
Maybe Tom White (RIP) has it in his possession in his Museum? He has the original sign from Perris Raceway. I was lucky enough to visit the museum awhile back. It is very impressive.
I'm sure its just hanging in someones office somewhere.
Nice sign and avatar!
KInda off the original topic....but saw this RE Saddleback news in MXA this month.
Guess the dream of the track re-opening is definitely dead now.
******
From the late 1960s until its closure in 1984, Saddleback Park was one of America’s most famous motocross tracks. It was the largest offroad park on the West Coast with multiple racetracks and 25,000 acres of land. But, liability concerns closed Saddleback in 1984.
It has sat unused and empty for the last 39 years. Owned by the massive Orange County-based Irvine Company, it was donated to Orange County by the Irvine Company in 2014. The county sat on the land for nine years before turning the once-renown motocross track into a natural habitat preserve called the Saddleback Wilderness Park, where hiking and mountain bike trails will be open to visitors. Although most racers from the good old days had always hoped that it would reopen as a motocross track, a wilderness park is better than a housing development and shopping mall.
Signs are made of Aluminum.
And crackheads use pop cans to smoke crack ....I guess

Pit Row
Yeah, that's next on the list of Moto Flags coming soon . . .
Take a look at these cool retro Moto Flags. Designed and printed in USA!
Didn't Brad Lackey start a donation thing to erect a monument there?
There is a big sign that says it’s coming soon, next to Dog Leg brewery
I’m surprised the Carlsbad sign isn’t hanging in Carlsbad brewery, those guys are full moto. Good place to stop for a beer if you are near the old raceway,
The sign is the open door to my Factory....
Excuse the mess I'm prepping for a weekend trip in Flagstaff.
Can't miss behind the open door.😜
Same here. Saddleback and Indian Dunes were incredible places. Glad I grew up in that era.
This ^^^^ 1000x
This is off of one of my results sheets from the Dunes.
Catch a cool Ford Van on San Diego beach
