Most Cooper tire stores have nitrogen with enough pressure to charge most shocks.

not for nothing but im not charging a shock I didn't assemble myself, I kinda like my fingers ive had people call and ask if id charge their shock and I say no unless I assembled it if you want to pretend your a shock guy by yourself a nitrogen bottle

This is a good point as they are rightfully concerned that things will go flying when they apply the charge. So what I do is bring the shock to the shop with it charged with air from my home compressor. Show them as I let the air out and then they are generally cool doing the charge.

That's understandable. It's looking more and more like I will have to get my own nitrogen.

Bumping this thread to see if there's anyone in the Orlando area who can charge a shock with nitrogen.

Really frustrated, I had no idea this was such a big deal. Figured it would be easy to find someone with nitrogen.

I've called all around town and NO ONE willing to do this despite having the equipment and capability to do it.

Shock rebuild was easy but now I'm stuck with no one wanting to put nitrogen in it. Sucks!

Anybody thinking of doing this themselves in the Orlando area, do not bother unless you're willing to throw down $300-500 for the tank and regulator setup or unless you know a guy.

Use a WP fork pump if it has a Schrader valve , 1000s do the same and it has no real downside

Factory Connection in Leesburg FL will do it for you. They are like 45min from Orlando. Just call them and tell them whats up but you could probably just walk in and they would do it for you as well.

I’m in Sarasota and face the same issues. I have an incredible local guy, but he is not doing as much work as he once was as he gets older so I try not to bother him. An inch away from looking for a good deal on a tank and building my own setup.
