Sad that I was right
Hey Vital. Thanks for the comments, good or bad. I get it. I don't go on here much but I do get second hand info from here, so it's popular! From what happened on Saturday, I deserve all the "I told you so" comments. "Keefer sucks, he's old, maybe he's not as good as he thinks he is" type comments are all warranted. I won't disagree, but I still think I could have made the 40 man field this year and still plan on trying, but until then, you guys that don't believe were/are correct . I am fairly self aware and understand I am not fast AF but it was/is a goal to make a national. That's all. I am a test rider, not a racer, but racing is fun for me and it's something my kid and I get to share together. I also try to teach him that everything in life is not peaches and cream. You'll suck. You'll fail. You'll get people that talk crap about you. But it's ok and you will have moments that will make it all worth it. You'll have to work at it. I don't want my kid to be scared of failing. I am not. I sucked. Yep. I made a stupid mistake. Yep! Do I feel embarrassed that I didn't make more than one lap? Yep. Riding/racing dirt bikes and having goals is just like everyday life There are highs and lows. There are consequences to your decisions. If you make a bad decision, life slaps you in the face. I am trying to set the best example for my kid while doing something we both love, while I am still able. That's all. When I am dead and gone, he will remember these moments that I failed or sucked and he will learn from them, to make himself better. I love riding dirt bikes, helping people and try to make products/bikes better for the consumer. I will continue to do that until I can't no longer. See you guys at the track. Hopefully you each have your own goals and get to achieve them someday. -K2
You we're actually out there giving it a shot.
Unlike all of these couch legends who spew here.
Props.
We did it guys. We beat Keefer! We won! Keep those fingers going.

Congrats on finally winning something in your life. You did it.
Lota respect for just being a ripping rider, and still pushing hard.
I was being sarcastic. Props to Kris. I love when he calls Steve out on things during the show.
I think you would’ve made it. You were ripping at GH on Tuesday this week. You gotta try again! And props for getting out there and trying. I’m old to be out there… but you’re really old haha… but still ripping dude! And love your reasons to be out there! Maybe next time try all 0’s on the map? Haha
He reminds me of a guy on another forum that went by the name of Getdrunk.
Ironically he was also from Wisconsin and had a Russian wife.
Probably the same guy 🤔
Props to you, Keefer.
Shit happens and it's fucking great your out there trying. Said that to you in texas to. Come out and give Red Bud a shot great track good and if you don't make it well its still fuckin red bud. Don't let this year's goal end on that note.
I just became a fan. well said young man!
Keep trying Keefer!
You have some old dudes at home hoping you make it!!
You are doing what I wish I could do. . . .
That is really a bad take.
I stood there yesterday and watched as these amazing athletes gave their all on a very difficult and technical track to get into The Show.
Even the guys on the bubble in 36th were just so skilled and dedicated - this AMA Pro Motocross series is just amazingly hard and the talent level is deep from top to bottom.
This is the hardest sport on earth, anyone who comes out and races at this level should get some more respect.
Keefer, you don't know me but I have a lot of respect for you man. Hope to see you out there again this summer.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Always jealous & angry. It really shows your character. With Low blows to truckers. True everyone is Really doing horribly bad out here. Try at 15 I had a 400k contract to play ball in Europe. With numerous d1 offers. Youngest man to operate the largest locomotive 28 cylinder plowing gas lines in. Boss on the worlds strongest hhg rig with ovr 20 world records. Trained by a captain of the dot in charge of the trk line @ the biggest pipeline co in the world. Won my 1st race a full gate of 125 A. Don’t bother me 1 bit working for a mob co. My days r extremely interesting & I hv a lot of fun . The Eastern European women r gorgeous & interesting. I paid 250k a week to the mob in the ne cities threw the 90,s. Double date we had dinner & drinks in the North tower- trade center. So I was literally on the top the world. I can’t win a natl anymore but no national winner ever could do what I,m doing now. This is far more physical than riding a bike . I forgot at 33 with reconstructed knee
a few other surgeries & a broken back . I made a semi pro basketball team. I quit when I found out what the pay was. That’s like everyone did the same time in a lap. Then they pick out the freak of nature athletes.
The only ones who suck are the ones talking smack on here, eating twinkies while sitting in the dark in their parents basement. You rock Kris!
Pit Row
What d1 offers, what team in europe. Post your stats for these offers.
I'm not sure the risk is worth taking at his age just to qualify to a national, but i do commend the effort and balls to do so.
Good luck next time man, i hope you make it!
I was one of the 'no' answers and I can only imagine how many times a screen shot of this pole was shared in your group messages. I have a 5 year old and one day I will know how you feel. I think you will make an event but I didn't feel like you would do it at the first round
You won't get any "I told you so's" from this guy. I started this thread because I thought you could do it and I was pulling for you. Win, lose or draw it is badass attempting to make the show at your age. Go get em at Lakewood!!!!
Hanging out with your son out at the track is about as good as it gets. Awesome to watch then grow up,.....and then pass you!
Broken ribs ouch,,,,,
A guy that claims to be all D!(% and ribs, glad he didn't break the other.
Much respect for trying.
What a fucking legend!
As a 40 year old dad of a 3 year old boy that is already obsessed with bikes, I look to a guy like Keefer as the type of "moto dad" I hope to be one day... a guy that still rips well past his 40's, a dad that can give his son a run for his money on the track well into his teens, and most importantly, a dad that sets a good example.
Hats off to you good sir, we'll be rooting for you on the next attempt!
At the end of the day all the people who said keefers bad/sucks on here would be lapped by you about 10 times in a 30
Very good response
