Bud Light giving beer away for free. Buy a 20box for $15 and get a $15 rebate. Cheaper to give it away than throw it away. I'm not sure what the end game was. What exactly did they think would happen? Bud used to have the best adds, remember the frogs? Why exactly does drinking beer have to be political? Even if you got 100% of the business from the 1% that you just catered to, you just pushed away 25% of the 99% you used to sell to, how exactly is that a win? Who thought this was a good idea? Me thinks they need to hire a 6th grade (precovid) kid that knows some math. Even that kid can run the numbers for them.

Are companies finally remembering that (conservative) straight white people are the (silent) majority in this country?  And though we may get shouted down in public and polling places and politics, when voting with our dollars it makes us unignorable?

The left is going so radically extreme, that yester-years left wing radicals, are today's centrists, and yester-years centrists are todays right leaning moderates.

Give it another decade or so, when millenials (the largest "generation") are going to be the ones paying for all the pie in the sky liberal ideas of their youth...and you'll start seeing the political pendulum in America swing to the right even further/faster.

No, they are being run by younger kids that don't understand what it took to build the brand and how fast all that good will can be lost. Just ask the marketing team at North Face.

I think you are right about the younger leadership...they've lived in a vacuum surrounded by people who think like them and agree with them...and they make the immature and naive conclusion that they represent the world...they are to ignorant to even recognize that they are a minority.  They'll learn if a decade or so.

Idk about total dollars, but I think BL is taking (and will continue to take) the bigger hit, relatively speaking. They are now having to buy back expired products. I think the losses we are seeing so far (other than market cap drop) is also delayed a bit from real time consumer activity.

As for Target, IMO they are just too huge and too many people live for that place. Because of that, I don't see much of anything coming from this beyond a short-lived knee jerk reaction. But, who knows..

About 15 years ago, I would've been labelled a moderate democrat / independent. Now I'm a "right wing extremist" because I don't want to pay more taxes and don't think children should be castrated.

It's interesting to watch the Left eat itself. It's already happening in the Alphabet communities.

There was a neighborhood bar on the wrong side of the tracks where I was from.  The sign out front (this was in late ‘70’s):  “Black, white, green or pink, come on in and buy a drink”.  There were always a lot of cars in the parking lot.

When you support tranny's and groomer's......this is what you get.

I think it's awesome and love seeing them take a huge hit. Maybe they should of done more research on who their actual customers were?  Fuck em' both haha.

NON vote

I agree Phil.

Social media at it's best.

Discouraging you to think the way "They do". Crazy that folks still listen to Media, Let alone social media.

My take?

Live and carry on with the amenity's that you enjoy.

Rather than the way the socialites want to direct you to.

FKN a-holes have gone nuts directing the less educated. Never thought it possible ...but we are in the era of Zombies

Yep.

Pretty much grew up in a family of, Kennedy Democrats.

Haven't changed my views much at all.

Now I'm labeled by our current administration as, the "greatest threat to our nation".

Go figure.

Selling LGBTQ and gender neutral clothes to kids, or allegedly targeting kids.

The things people will spend time and energy to get upset about is truly mind bottling at times.

Goodluck getting women that shop at target to stop shopping at Target. Women that get mad about this kind of stuff already shop at Sam's club.

And the explanation is where? What things are mind boggling to you? Your thoughts are in a bottle and can't get out?

I'd say that when you sell rainbow / alphabet clothing, targeting kids....that is a line you don't cross. Ever!

And you think there is nothing working with it , or why some people in Rural and suburbs might take offense to it?

You go ahead and keep sticking up for this Groomer bullshit , along with a few others I've seen do the same on this board. Shows the true colors of some of you.

They have lost over 10 billion in stock prices this week once the story came out. And just like Bud light.....market share holders are going to be hating life.

These companies might want to think about who the majority of their customers are and where they come from.

News flash : this boycott shit works. And it's gaining legs like it never has before. Keep the woke groomer shit away from kids!!

I don't know how to drill it down much further, but I'll give it a try.

People work themselves up into a rage about things that are not worth the time or energy. The paranoia and constant suspicion can not good for one's health.

I understand the statement that you made, and made, and made. Let me rephrase the question.

What are the "things" that are mind boggling to you?

You said this....

" The things people will spend time and energy to get upset about is truly mind bottling at times "

It sounds like you're mocking parent's that are upset about a store selling groomer clothing to kids. Are you saying it's ridiculous for these parents to be upset?

I wouldn't get to wrapped up in the share price of these woke companies being an indicator of the public's disapproval of their actions. The central banks or these giant investment firms (eg blackrock) who are also all in on this cultural destruction being waged, could pump up their share prices in a few key strokes. I think it could very easily become a false signal.
