Just curious mostly on the 16 year old wonder twins from Belgium who are apparently coming to America at some point.
Is that next year, 2024?
Also, where is Sacha? I thought I saw him last week, did he get injured again?
Either way its exciting to see a 16 year old winnning a moto. Love when foreigners come to the AMA series
Sasha has suffered a cocussion in qualy race yesterday
I believe that has been postponed to 2025 because KTM group didn't want to give them factory contracts for only a single year in MX2.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas won more motos this year and get the title next year. Especially with Geerts moving out of the class
Lucas showed the motoworld something today for sure. I wasn't expecting him to win moto 2
They are going to be a force in AMA outdoors... Let's hope they do like Vialle did this year and survive their first SX season.

I'd like to see GP kids come in the winter to race a few SX first (before the GP season) to see how they adapt instead of coming, like Vialle for exemple, straight away full time. They can come, ride some SX, race if they feel like it and still get some MX riding in to prep for the GP season. Instead of going to Spain, come ride the SoCal tracks (they're great in the winter), ride some Suppy and get your feet wet. I don't understand how you can sign a GP rider and send him straight to race his fist SX at the first West or East round. It's not very smart...
Or they could run in the Futures class a time or 2 to get their feet wet
I think these GP riders should come over and do outdoors first, get to know the country a bit, ride something more familiar and keep their confidence high. Then go to the deathcross meat grinder and hopefully survive into the next outdoor season!
Racing MX first would delay the problem for a year... You only get better at SX by riding SX on an US size track... It has nothing to do with knowing the country or get acclimated to the US culture...
Eat Supercross, Sleep Supercross, Fck Supercross...
Obviously you would know more that I do, but didn’t the Lawrence brothers come here and race MX first, while learning SX on the side? That’s what I was thinking. My fear is guys losing their confidence trying to do SX too soon, and even worse getting on the injury train, and never getting anywhere with their careers.
extremely impressive moto from Lucas yesterday! his confidence must be thru the roof after ripping that start then riding away from everybody..
I can tell you I know a few MX2 and EMX kids that want to learn how to ride supercross, but don’t know who to talk to or where to start ( a few of them are staying in my house now).
They tell me that they are afraid that they will get thrown into a pro level SX track and get hurt,
Maybe if there was a way to ease these kids into SX, more guys from Europe would come here to race.
it would take the right person and the right kind of tracks to make it happen so these guys could get coached into using the correct techniques.
Why are they coming to America, I just read another thread that said MXGP was the superior series! Come on Euro guys, tell us why the hottest prospects in euroland want to come race here!
Easy life,good weather and money,money,money……………
I would think uk arenacross and the German and French sx series would be the first step ,
I always think of Borat when I see their names. I clicked expecting to see Borat and his brother out doing motos in mankini's.
I was surprised that it was DV when I looked to see who wrote that comment. I would think that doing outdoors first, and getting to ride with team riders on SX tracks practicing would be an easier transition. And would help keep confidence higher if they did well outdoors. Then they would go into SX knowing how the other guys raced and what to expect from them. And like another person said the language barrier. It also seems to be the more am riders are going these days too. Back years ago Tomac started outdoors when it was not a common way to start out . And I think that team did that with a bunch of other riders too. But it seems to be more common these days.
But DV has done it and maybe he feels like jumping in with both feet is the only way to do it. I think it might depend on the rider, some might benefit taking the slower approach and easing in . But again I've never raced a SX.
More money and less competition
Fishing eh….unfortunately you’re not very good at it…
Pit Row
It’s a fact , by the end of the gps I bet there’s 8 maybe 9 different race winners in both classes , ama probably 2/3 ( not saying there not fast) but the depth in gps is much deeper
Yeah ok…still fishing I see…and even to claim “facts”…
Explain what’s not superior then …
GP riders should at the very least do Daytona and Atlanta before A1.
Riders can spend time at the training facilities here in the Carolina’s training on full blown SX tracks with other Pro’s but it requires the speed needed and $$$$ to pay for it
Taking a quote from a great episode of Pulp mx and interaction with Your favorite trackside reporter. " But what if Your wrong"....
More seriously though, don't you think that some of the points made about gaining or retaining confidence by racing with the guys they will race with in SX? And not having to deal with the changes in environment and competition at the sametime? While getting to practice on a real SX track with some of the same guys they will be racing against when they get into SX with less pressure and the lack of 1000's of people watching?
I never rode a real SX track , but Arenacross was a big difference coming from local motocross and basic practice tracks. I was only a local B rider and I know I would have done much much better if I had a replica track to practice on for a week or 2. 6 months would be even better . Maybe I was just not a skilled enough rider. A friend of mine that had lap times in the top 10 at the Southwick national ( 450 class ) refused to try SX because he did not have a local place to practice and had 0 time on an SX track. He had the second fastest average lap time and in practice not that it matters since he was spent for the motos. It was one of those super hot years. I think 2005. A very skilled sand rider and he was a skilled jumper too.
I think it might be better depending on the rider to take it slow. But I wrecked myself by jumping into everything with no experience. And injuries are my hindsight while race wins are Yours.
PS.I am a fan or Yours and enjoy your Pulp show appearances . I was at that local race at Southwick when a little kid asked you for your underwear. Is that the strangest request from a fan you ever had?
Are any of these guys racing this weekend Brent?
How is rick going? Collarbone? He shouldn't be off long.
1- Yes
2- Rick had to go for a second surgery after the screws in his plate came loose. He is aiming for a return in time for the Latvian GP, (pending medical approval) as Thibault is the only healthy rider now on that team.
