Yes, he's still full speed ahead on his 2010 race plans.
Hopefully that puts everyone's mind at ease.
I believe that Twitter is a very good way to get quick brief news and updates from people and organizations, depending who you follow. I'm not among the J-Lo, TO or Beckham followers.
No difference between Twitter or Facebook and posts on forums or on Internet medias, you choose who you trust.
But with that said here some other great rumors caused by interest in Ezra's return to the sport:
Canidae to switch to Suzuki!
Okay, this is a great one - Matt the driver for team Canidae drove our team rig for Ezra to the U.S. Open on his down time from Canindae. Ezra was riding a Suzuki because a sponsor gave us one and Roger Decoster did give Ezra some help at the Open and did talk to Ezra but it was pure chance that we were parked right beside Roger's Team Suzuki rig. You add all that up and wow...
Here's a few all mashed up:
Ezra hurt no Bercy! Ezra riding for Kawaski in France! Ezra to ride Kawaski in the U.S! Ezra to ride for Kawaski with David Vuillemin! Ezra Signed with Canidae! Ezra ridng Austrailia SX series for Kawasaki! Erza Broken Arm no chances for Supercross!
Ok, here we go...Yes we were in talks with the promoters of both the Bercy race and the Australian SX series. We thought it would be great to get Ezra some more racing in before the 2010 season starts. We are in talks with several teams and factories but with no one getting budgets yet we have not signed a deal. So we were hoping to have the promoters pay to send Ezra to both AUS SX and Bercy as was the case for some of the other riders. However Ezra announced his return to the sport after most of the other riders had already been selected and paid so...Well you get the idea...So we would have had to pay for it out of our own pockets and we were unable to put together a package that worked well for everyone to do those races. Ezra was going to be riding his personal Kawasaki 450 with all the mods from our sponsors for the U.S. Open. Though I cannot tell you who Ezra is considering I can say that at this time Ezera is not signed with Suzuki, Kawasaki or Canidae. The broken arm, Broken Hand, Broken wrist...He had a pre existing injury that required a small procedure to make it 100%. We felt that with the negotiations we have in play for EZRA for the 2010 season that it would be best to correct the problem now, so there was no chance of an injury being caused by the situation in the near future.. Essentialy we built a better Ezra... and with the down time of not going to France or Australia, He had an outpatient surgical procedure performed on Tuesday afternoon, He is set to be back on the bike in 2-3 weeks tops, his wrist, stronger and better that before....Now we feel very comfortable in saying he will be 100% and in perfect health going into the 2010 Supercross series.
Pit Row
If you're planning a serious return to SX in 2010, good that he didn't do Bercy or the OZ SX in my opinion in order to avoid any kind of injuries on those small "dash for cash" tracks with everyone going WFO for extra Winter money.
On the return and racing other series I agree, but the first thought though was realy just to get more actual racing seat time in for Ezra. After the open he realized that though he has trained his ass off the entire time he was away and is actually in much better physical shape than when he left, he has only riden and practiced by himeslef on his tyrack, he hasnt raced at all and we all know that all the "practice" in the world still aint racing.
He figured it would be worth it especially if we could get someone to sponsor it or get the promoters to pay him because hes a pretty big draw, But as i said before their budgets were pretty much tapped out. So when it came down to it and the folks we are talking to about SX here didnt have any answers yet, Ezra decided that the monitary reward did not justify the oportunity nore did it justify the risk of getting hurt and not makiing the seaon here.
