AC 9 crash was gnarly

That could have gone way worse than what it looked like on the broadcast.

Yeah, it's unusual since he's made out of glass, good result aswell after getting a handle bar to the chin.

is he too far back in the whoops or what? are his #longlegs TOO long that he can't grip the bike with his knees?

also, how did he get so tall from 2015 till now? HGH?

He almost lost some fingers. They were tickling the rear sprocket during that… Shocked

Yeah, it must be HGH, since no one's ever heard of a teenager* having a massive growth spurt before...

*It wasn't between 2015 and now, it was between 2014 & 2016 that he grew.

Good eye! I ran that back at 0.25x and he literally touched the chain and possibly the sprocket right where they meet then immediately after looks like he touched the tire. Wow, gave me goosebumps

That happened to a buddy of mine who was lifting a bike into the back of a truck, crushed his index finger, had to have a pin inserted into the tip of his finger. Made a full recovery.

I'm really happy he got back up immediately and qualified straight to main. I was expecting another season ending injury and it was thrilling to see him hustle back to the bike with purpose.

Crazy that he not only remounted but worked his way back to fourth after that. Gnarly

I ripped my left index finger off from a crash, I'm pretty sure it was because it got caught on the rear sprocket with the chain. Happened so fast I didn't feel anything until I realized I didn't had half my finger. That video brought scary memories

All I’m saying is AC has my respect after that one. To be able to get back up, back on the bike, and literally finish maybe 1 spot behind where he would’ve finished if he hadn’t crashed? Dudes mental game is strong. Excited to see him finish the season healthy and go into the Nationals!!
