2018 YZ250F VS 2022 RM-Z 250

What bike of those 2 would you choose? for the same prize ? the technology is about the same on them both but did the yamaha still had the stronger engine ?

Yz250f. Better suspension, lighter, and can be tuned with a GYTR power tuner.

Suzuki if it’s lower hours and cleaner. They’re bullet proof and cheap to modify. Exhaust ecu and suspension set for you , you’ll be rolling.

The suspension is the same on them lmao

you can tune the Rmz as well. People discredit the bike and know not a thing about it for some reason. Check the spec sheet on it. Fat bars, MX33’s stock, tunability, KYB forks and shock, strong usable engine that really is bulletproof. If you don’t get the RMZ send me the link lol.

E start, more power, updated chassis. Same brand suspension but the YZ is WAY better right out of the box.

Only way I would good zook is if the YZ doesn't have low hours.

There's a reason the rmz250 doesn't even show up to shootouts anymore lol.

"updated chassis"? What does that mean? I'm pretty sure the RM-Z chassis is "newer" and "more updated" that the YZF..

I thought the YZ250F didn't get the power tuner until 2019, while the YZ450F got the tuner in 2018.  The improved YZ250F was the 2019 model while the 2018 was similar to previous years IIRC.  Also, the top ends and most specifically the cam chains are ticking time bombs on those YZs.  I hear some friends who run them have to put in new timing chains every <20 hours.  I'd go Zook all day in that scenario and that is coming from a YZ fanboi.

Did the 2018 YZ250F have eStart?  Thought that happened in 2019 and newer.  Maybe I'm wrong.

I have 18 and 19 confused. Close toss up. If the yz was a 19 it would be a no brainer.

Yz all day.

The RMZ has newer tech. since it has a GET wifi tuner.   Other than that, they both have aluminum frames, hydraulic disc brakes, telescopic KYB forks, mono shock, linkage driven rear suspension...

build quality is far less superior. Zooks parts always look like they came from the discount bin.

You're confusing Zooks with Kawis...

RMZ. It is newer and probably has less hours.

I've had 2 RMZ250s, a 2007 and a 2010. Both went over 100 hours with no issues, not a single one. I've owned every brand of bike and I've had issues with every other brand except Suzuki.

Hmm, I disagree from my own experiences with both.  I've had a lot of Yamahas and now have a few Suzukis, the hardware/build is in no way lacking compared to the Yami. I think the worst part as far as stock bikes go is how easy the RMZ clutch cover scratches up and it looks like crap almost instantly.

Funny thing is you probably get passed by decade old zooks at the local track 🤡

they are close in hours the rmz has 30 and the yamaha is at 25 hours he says. But im leaning towards the suzuki the guy that has it seem like a more Trustworthy guy.

Put them side by side. The both have that "cheaper" look to them.

I love my Kawis. But the material quality on Zooks is much better.

You talking about a bike that breaks timing chains?

I had a 2008 that I put nearly 400 hrs on, raced it for two years and practiced in a big sand wash a lot. The only parts that broke was the lower triple clamp and the head pipe. False neutrals were kinda gnarly tho they fixed that problem a long time ago.
