Just turned 41...Lost some weight..eating better...feeling good....wondering what else i can be putting in the tank to keep her running in top shape?
Clueless on what's available and what's a wise move ?
Cheers 🍻
*No,i won't be cutting out having a few beers from 7pm-10pm Saturday nights.
My doc told me that multivitamins for the most part are almost useless given the minuscule amount that they do help versus cost. While there are good products out there the Doc believes a healthy diet and eating habit are more important.
I do however take a couple of Scorbex Vit C everyday with two SlowMag tabs - SlowMag is a magnesium supplement that helps maintain a healthy sleep cycle.
Slowmag also promotes a sense of calm and restful relaxation and is formulated with an ideal level of melatonin so you wake up refreshed.
I eat various fresh fruits/nuts every day and drink plenty of water.
Ya know the ol saying...you are what you eat.
Btw. I'm 52...borderline ol c*nt I am.
It’s best to find a vitamin that fits your lifestyle. I’m 40 and moto a lot along with the gym a lot on top of not eating the best. I’ve found that if I don’t take vitamins regularly I get bloated. The last few months I’ve been taking these and have liked them so far.

Fish oil, vitamin b complex, and vitamin d are the big ones IMO. Eat leafy greens and quality protein sources for the rest
Tangentially related. Huberman is a Prof. of Neurobiology, Psychology, and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford. Always interesting stuff in this podcast.

What your doctor is saying is that almost all of the things your body needs are available from a healthy diet. This is true but, if you are training, you will need more. Maybe iron, salt, or other vitamins
I also add zinc
Honestly, just eat a balanced diet consisting of Whole Foods and you should be good to go.
Your body responds amazingly well when you cut out added sugars, unhealthy oils, and eat foods made of ingredients that you can understand.
You cant really get it all from food anymore. Factory and industrial food processing is not really upping the nutrient density of your food. I take alot of vitamins and supplements, and I also exclusively eat raw foods. Nuts, organs, dairy, meat, certain vegetables, fruit, certain grains. There are a thousand people selling or promoting any number of different approaches to health. Health is centered around nutrition. Todays deficiencies are tomorrows chronic illnesses. Food is medicine. Choose wisely! I wouldn't let $6 a month stop me from taking a multivitamin, that's for sure.
Why do you take a lot of vitamins and supplements?
I swear that's true. When the pandemic hit, myself and a handful of friends grouped together and turned a 1/3 acre field into a little garden/farm thing and so I started eating fresh veggies on the regular. I'm not really a nutritionist/dietician or anything but I swear the nutrient profile of the fresh stuff is higher (or I'm an absolute sucker for placebo).
I just told you why lol because I don’t believe nutrient guidelines are adequate (RDI’s, label tolerance) and that a lot of nutrition is destroyed through various means. It’s not a conspiracy, sunlight, age, air, transit, shelf time all plays a role in nutrient degradation. I supplement in alot of essential amino acids, beet juice from my juicer, multi, organs, glutamine. There’s more but that’s some. I’m also training 6-7 days a week very hard. I’m more nutrient sensitive when I’m in an intense season versus maintaining or just busy.
Really enjoyed that and have subscribed
Thanks!
It is true. some people will tell you it’s the same and that glyphosate has no effect on you and so on.. they’re wrong. Fresh food is the best food.
I started taking these about 2 years ago and I swear by them. I honestly haven’t had as much as a sore throat or runny nose in over a year. I don’t eat the greatest or exercise regularly so I really do believe they work
I actually bought these and trying them out. They taste like candy canes.

Vine to table is hard to beat. I worked a quiet fire station that had a garden. All shifts took care of f it. The beefsteak tomatoes were amazing I was a meh kind of guy about tomatoes at first. The green and yellow squash were excellent too
I wish I had room for a garden.

Please tell me more about creatine.
why do I want to take that?
and how much should i be taking?
I read many fitness guys use it but I'm blind to it.
I work a very physical construction job, have kids I want to be the best I can be for and am enjoying changing my way of life.
im all ears.thankyou
What do you 'feel' taking these?
any difference? Any 'jolt'?
they seem to cover off all of the suggested elements
same age, moto a lot and lots of physical work/gym.
Any difference not taking them?
sorry that's such a broad question,i guess I should just give it a go!
Wtf is alpha brain
Alpha Brain from Onnit. Do you watch Rogan?

Joe rogan is insufferable
What will creatine do for me ?
It will only make a noticeable difference if you’re on a consistent, heavy lifting routine. Otherwise it will make you gain 5-7 lbs of water weight without much benefit if you’re not lifting
Notice it also says, exercise performance. About 10 pounds of water weight, drinking a gallon a day or more of water is a must. I try to stay at about 62% hydration level.

Awesome,thanks very much for that.
That all sounds ok to me? I don't see any downsides of taking it.
I drink a gallon a day no problem.
Can I ask what you take and where you get it please?
Can I just grab it at GNC or is it something I should order online?
Thanks very much, trying to better myself.
I’m scheduled for a revision surgery on a total knee replacement completed 3.5 years ago. The surgeon’s PA advised me to start taking Vitamin D for bone health. This is the first time a health professional recommended any types vitamins preceding a procedure.
Creatine monohydrate is the compound you want. Most of the other “variants” are just marketing schemes to charge more for little in return. The cheapest way I’ve found to do it is just go through GNC and buy the large tub.

Also something to consider…there’s quite a few studies that have been done that show 3 to 3.5grams per day is adequate for most applications. Taking the full 5gram serving is unnecessary.
I like to do 1.5 grams in the morning with breakfast and then 1.5 grams in the evening right before dinner to help keep the system loaded.
I’ve been taking Creatine for awhile and haven’t noticed any negative side effects. I’ve put on quite a bit of muscle mass and also leaner then ever, so I don’t fully believe the “water retention” claims. But I would also say that if you aren’t working out 4-5 times per week and eating a healthy, balanced diet.
