I've come across a bunch of different links of updates/photos and what not that are worth checking out.

Live time and daily results http://www.isde2009-live.info/

Destry Abbott's been posting daily with updates on the team, pretty cool stuff here.

Gofasters.com is also reporting tid bits and what not here along with some great photo reports that are updated from each day along with some neat pre-race photos here

And on a side note, Ricky D's already reported out of the race due to mechanical failure. Also, for all you moto only guys, you might dig the photo report on the gofaster site, they're alot of behind the scene photo's and you can see what goes into the prep of the race and how hands on the riders themselves are. I really enjoy it at least!

Kawasaki's website has also posted some photo's and video stuff from the day's event here. I thought it's cool to see one of the major manufacture's involved and up to date like they're doing.

Now why would anyone care? “It’s a meaningless event, an exhibition like the Pro Bowl with vanilla riders.” SX with laser beams, fireworks, FMX, Terry Boyd, Blasting Death Metal and 12 min main events is where it’s at! lol

Good Luck Team USA and Destry Abbott!

Unfortunately there top rider Ricky Dietrich already suffered a DNF on Day One, so there goes USA’s throwaway.

Thanks for the links.

Geez, the 2 stroke is alive and well in Enduro's at the top level.

Would be good if the results stated what bike they were on as far as model, not only make. I've been searching for pics to check out what the top guys are on.

Knight had a HUGE crash on the first test on today... he was concussed and taken to hospital on a spinal board where they diagnosed he sustained muscular neck damage and won't take further part in the event!

How old are you? I recall the great Dick Burleson had a rather successful run at the ISDE. Lets not forget Malcolm Smith.

I would say you are incorrect Weapon.

Check out the different links with pics, you'll see what alot of the guys are riding, the video recaps from the ignition3 on youtube are really great of showing what guys are on. Its funny to see the results from the days and you see very few japanese brand bikes. The majority of the branks are KTM, Husky's, Husabergs, Gas Gas's a few TM's and BMW's.

A big part of that is that you can rent a KTM over there for the price to send your bike over in the container. Then when the event is over, you just give it back. After the ISDE, your bike is pretty well done.

Husqvarna and Husaberg do the same deal as well. Even then though, when you watch alot of the WEC footage of events, lots of the euro machines.

Well.....you may be right - I'm 27. But I have been racing enduros since I was 13 (and proper enduros since I was 16).....and I have pretty much watched enduro vids (from eurosport...not even in English!!) since I can remember! I just love enduros....such a great challenge.

I was referring to winning the world trophy.....which I don't think USA has ever done (The aussies haven't either, but have been close).

There may have been some individual overall wins.....

It doesn't matter about individual results? It's a team event!

USA haven't won it... yet!

Kighter is a force to recon with. I support USA but I am also realistic. Lot of great off road talent there. Looks from the clips the scenery aint bad either. I will be watching.

Great to see the Aussies holding down third spot on the trophy standings!!

You guys from the USA may have legitimate bragging rights about who produces the best MX riders, but in offroad it's a totally different story. No offense but the world's fastest offroad pilots are in the WEC - Europeans and (lately) the Australians.

Great racing. I love off road, its the discipline of all riding. You can take an off road rider and have them do well in Motocross. I dont feel you get the same results if you reverse that.

Alot of the top off-road WEC guys have a strong background in trials. Trials is a much bigger scene in Europe then it is here in the states, and I think that might have something to do with it in my opinion.

We're doing alright though I think considering our throw away was Ricky D who dropped out so early, we have no throw aways now and we're still doing well. Same with the Junior team with Kamo being out.

Does anybody have any way to find the Team results? I'm only finding individual results on the Web sites.

I think your theory on trials has a lot of merit.

I also see that in the US there are a lot of different series and formats. Perhaps for the overall benefit of producing more world class riders fewer series/formats might help?

Australia actually has the Australian Four Day Enduro every year, which in the past has been a defacto Australian Championship. This is run the same way as the ISDE so our top guys get plenty of experience in extended multi-day enduro format.
