I find it hard to really care about the US Open every year. Other than the cash the riders take home, it's a meaningless race on a sub-standard track. I guess it probably generates money for someone so thats why they run it but as a fan, I'm not really interested.
If they made it an outdoor race and invited many of the GP riders, I would be interested in that.

Good money for the riders but in the larger scheme of things.....not such a big deal.
Went once and never again....
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Free shipping: VITALMX
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Watching it on TV? Not so much.
'Nuff said.
Besides, it's a big party in Vegas and the stress level for the riders is low.
If I had to choose Red Bud or US Open, of course I would choose mx.
Classic. Why did we not hear this 'til now?
The USSX is fun for those involved & it's in Vegas, I mean...doesn't that tell it all?
Yes! It is A PARTY!
Yes! The Rock-Star Hotties are out IN FORCE! (Especially at the Pool on Sunday!)
It IS an AX type track; yet, it's still entertaining and it shows you "Who's - Who" in the technical stuff and Who's willing to slam their way to the front (Boni's THE Slammer!).
Also, it's a "Last-Chance" for some of the riders to get a lil' exposure as the final decisions are being made by the Team Mgr's, Sponsors & Owners.
Like W. Hahn's 1-Ride deal at SPR.
Blose's "last-ride" at TLD (He looked DAMN FAST! ...&...Contrary to some of the talk in here...People DID take notice!)
Goerke's NEW ride at MCR (On an '09 "Works" Yamaha, no-less!)
As to the comment of Profitablilty at the Expense of the Racers...P-U-LLLLLLLEASE!
Would some of you be happy if Rock-Star didn't SPEND Millions on Moto-Racing?
I'm really getting to see that some of you are just WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO Un-HAPPY.
