Does anyone really care about the US Open?

I find it hard to really care about the US Open every year. Other than the cash the riders take home, it's a meaningless race on a sub-standard track. I guess it probably generates money for someone so thats why they run it but as a fan, I'm not really interested.

If they made it an outdoor race and invited many of the GP riders, I would be interested in that.

Glorified AX.
Good money for the riders but in the larger scheme of things.....not such a big deal.

Its ok its cool, a bit "Micky Mouse" but still tuff for the riders.

it's about having a big party in Vegas. I guess it's profitable? That's the only reason to have it.

So if it's profitable , just think how bad the riders get screwed on pay outs the rest of the year when they have 30k people attending.

You dislike it so much it took you a whole week past the race to post about it? Wow.

I don't see how Vegas + Rockstar girls + motorcycle racing could be anything less than a transcendental experience.

Watching it on TV? Not so much.

Anytime there is a race it's good.

Besides, it's a big party in Vegas and the stress level for the riders is low.

If I had to choose Red Bud or US Open, of course I would choose mx.

I think they have twelve of them a year. You should check one out, They're called "the Nationals".

It was the advertisement for it being on TV tomorrow that triggered my post.

As i mentioned in earlier USO posts, what is even more sad is the fact that the laptimes on that "Glorified AX" track were longer than a couple full AMA SX tracks.

Hahahaha!

Classic. Why did we not hear this 'til now?

The USSX is fun for those involved & it's in Vegas, I mean...doesn't that tell it all?

Yes! It is A PARTY!

Yes! The Rock-Star Hotties are out IN FORCE! (Especially at the Pool on Sunday!)

It IS an AX type track; yet, it's still entertaining and it shows you "Who's - Who" in the technical stuff and Who's willing to slam their way to the front (Boni's THE Slammer!).

Also, it's a "Last-Chance" for some of the riders to get a lil' exposure as the final decisions are being made by the Team Mgr's, Sponsors & Owners.

Like W. Hahn's 1-Ride deal at SPR.

Blose's "last-ride" at TLD (He looked DAMN FAST! ...&...Contrary to some of the talk in here...People DID take notice!)

Goerke's NEW ride at MCR (On an '09 "Works" Yamaha, no-less!)

As to the comment of Profitablilty at the Expense of the Racers...P-U-LLLLLLLEASE!

Would some of you be happy if Rock-Star didn't SPEND Millions on Moto-Racing?

I'm really getting to see that some of you are just WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO Un-HAPPY.
