got this off of Racer X. I would love to ride this track. 3 miles of almost pure sand.

I definitely wouldn't call that pure sand, but it is definitely awesome.

I received minor arm-pump while viewing, then eased up on the grasp of my bottle.

HOT DAMN that was a fun lap.

It's a MUST- watch.

Was he on a 450 or 250 ? Sounded like 250.....

ya.. I think its a 250 too. He was being pulled up that hill towards the end of the vid by a YZ250. If he was on a 450, he probably would have pulled past the YZ250. He had that 250 pinned everywhere though. Feel bad for his bike!

Correct Rupe, it's a 250f. Did you see how Cale (on the KTM 250T) actually pulled on him going up that hill (after the Red Bull arch, at the 2:55 mark)?! pretty awesome. Not to take anything away from Jerry tho, he was hauling on that track. Passed the whole class before the end of the first lap, even after he stalled his bike on the start!

Rupert....didn't see you there. Sorry i missed you !!

Almost pure sand........more like almost pure everything. Either way.....great race, great event.

I believe the original set up with the faster final downhill would have been more fun.....but i'm sure some hairball crashes would have ensued.

Post some pics Corey.

Lorenze was pretty awesome all weekend. The next fastest guy was Pesci in the B. It would of been cool to see those to guys in the same race. I don't think he would of beat Lorenze but he would of put up a good fight.

That was awesome. The pilot was hauling. Redrider, have you ever ridden Fernely outside of Reno? That is sand. That track looked like, heaven and perfect dirt.

I laughed as the 250F passed the two, two strokes. Next we will hear that 250Fs are unfair against those.

You guys that get to ride that are luuuuuucky!

I've passed Fernley on the way to Sand Mountain. I've heard that it was pretty sandy. I've ridden at Pismo though. Pure sand to its fullest.

Haha the KTM two stroke that he passed has his helmet cam video on there for the same race. Awesome to see the pass and entire race from two perspectives.

I raced it and it was defintly deep sand. Not to mention the baseball sized rocks peppered in with it. Alot of the ground was virgin to bikes and was so soft it made for sweet berms and ruts. Helmet cams don't do the hills justice or how deep the sand is. Either way I plan on racing again next year there, it was awesome.

Whats really cool is if you watch Cale 168 on the KTM and lorenze's helmet cam at the same time.

That's a real joy to watch! The scenery is awesome. You guys are so lucky to even have the possibility to ride on a track like that.

Yeah especially for Lorenze's pass. Looks like an incredibly fun race. Wish it was closer to Texas!

There was plenty of sand and rocks for sure but there was also some awesome loam......and snow.

My roll offs froze to my goggles in the last moto. I hope Corey got some photos of that moto. The 1st moto i hated to see the white flag....the 2nd moto i couldn't see the white flag.

If you didn't make it this year, you have to be there next year. Practice 40 minute motos with sandy off-cambers and lots of climbing, you will rip.

I'm surprised the payout for A classes hasn't been mentioned. Sure is nice to race an awesome event and have a shot at a bit of purse money to boot.

The payout was pretty awesome for a local race. Lorenze walked with 1400. The next best money race in Michigan is at the Newberry track. if you sweep the A's you can walk with 700 for the weekend. Racing Baja is a waste of time for a A rider. They race 4 times a yr up there. Its a Awesome track to boot!!! Not bad money for a outlaw track. Guys as fast as Lorenze should be hitting these tracks that pay instead of dropping a load to try and make a National and do nothing but donate there hard earned money to the track promoter.

Race E-Street MX under the bridge Marysville, close to you and lots of sand. You've ridden Pismo, a little further south at
Santa Maria there used to be a pure sand MX and GP race in the river bottom that was the most bitchin sand race anywhere I've ever been.
