Probably not good, huh?  I got knocked on my ass playing hockey a few weeks ago.  Haven't met with the surgeon yet but this is my MRI.

Study Result
Impression
1. Full-thickness and full width supraspinatus tendon tear with
full-thickness tearing extending into the anterior infraspinatus.
2. Mild intra-articular biceps tendinopathy.
3. Posterior glenoid dysplasia with associated high-grade cartilage loss
and extensive posterior labral tear.
4. Severe acromioclavicular joint osteoarthritis.
5. Small glenohumeral joint effusion with synovitis.
The images and findings of this examination were reviewed and approved by
the Staff Radiologist.
Narrative
MRI SHOULDER RIGHT WO CONTRAST March 08, 2023 2:16 PM

INDICATIONS:
right shoulder injury, rule out rotator cuff tear. Fell on shoulder
playing hockey.

COMPARISON:
Right shoulder radiographs 03/07/2023.

PULSING SEQUENCES:
Multiplanar multisequence MRI of the right shoulder was performed without
contrast.

FINDINGS:
ROTATOR CUFF: Full thickness full width tear of the supraspinatus tendon,
with medial positioning of the torn tendon at the level of the
glenohumeral joint. The full-thickness tear extends into the anterior
infraspinatus at the central superior cuff with additional low-grade
interstitial extension towards the infraspinatus myotendinous junction.

The subscapularis and teres minor tendons are normal.

Muscle bulk is normal. Mild edema within/along the supraspinatus muscle
belly.

BICEPS: Mild thickening and intermediate signal of the intra-articular
segment of long head of the biceps tendon, consistent with mild
tendinosis. No tear.

LABRUM/CAPSULE: The posterior labrum is hypertrophied with an associated
extensive labral tear involving the posterosuperior through
posteroinferior labrum. Multiple paralabral cysts posteriorly are present.

Middle and inferior glenohumeral ligaments are intact.

CARTILAGE/BONE: Diminutive and posteriorly angulated shallow posterior
glenoid, likely representing glenoid dysplasia (less likely consideration
would be old trauma). Degenerative cystic changes along the greater
tuberosity as well as in the posteroinferior glenoid. No fracture or
dislocation. Superficial partial-thickness cartilage loss throughout the
humeral head, with high-grade chondral loss in the posterior glenoid.

AC JOINT/ACROMION: Severe degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular
joint, with subchondral cystic changes and osteophytosis. No lateral
subacromial spur. Acromion is type 2.

OTHER INTRA-ARTICULAR: Small joint effusion, with frondlike projections
consistent with synovitis. No intra-articular body.

EXTRA-ARTICULAR: Subacromial/subdeltoid bursa communicates with the
glenohumeral joint space through the full-thickness superior cuff tear.

Take a small pulley and tie a 4" knot off it so it can close in top of door so it can hang there. Take a 6' rope and insert into pulley and create a loop at each end for handles. Now put a chair with back against door. Now with arms extended forward and holding each end loop in each hand use one hand to raise the other using the pulley. Do this 357000 times a day and back to normal in no time. That will be 69k for consultation, 5700 for rope and 12k for pulley.

Seriously it does work and I hope you feel better quickly.

Are you getting the shoulder injected ? Warning I had a injection into the joint. I woke up at 3am with pain shoulder to hand & couldn’t move my arm a mm. It took 12 days to get movement to get a key in the ignition. Small motion  improvements everyday . I had my left shoulder injected a few times . I had no problems.

He gave me meloxicam for now.  I see the surgeon on Tuesday.  I got the results for the hospital app.

I had that last summer & a muscle relaxer. Stuff knocks ya out. I was Really flustrated with the 3 months of pt going no where. I snuck out to ride 4 times to see if I had the speed needed yet.  And I did so I kept going to pt. Blood showed up in my urine test twice. Not sure if it was from the meds because the track was extremely rough.  My recent mri on my back showed sist on my kidneys. So maybe that was it. We,ll find out in a few weeks when winter is ovr. Anyway Good luck with surgery.
