They should have one so it gives the riders incentive to do the whole series and not just this SX crap like you know who...

You've got two different promoters who'd have to agree.

I do think it would be cool, however. Added incentive for riders who do both series. One guy to point at as best all-round rider.

Wasn't that experiment only for one season?

Believe Bailey beat Mark Barnett; forgot the year. '83 wanna say.

83 was the year not sure if there were other years but in this day and age of SX only contracts it would be good to see it back again and an additional incentive to manufacturers becuz they can run the #1 plate in both SX and MX !!! Cool

Think Monster would drop the triple crown and sponsor that instead?

Why? Get a name sponsor who keeps the points and promotes it as an independent deal.

I thought I read somewhere it can not be done unless nationals and supercross have the same amount of rounds to make it fair. 3 rds less supercross and 2 more rds motocross sounds good......

It's insane that it isnt happening. Everyone without money involved wants it. But like the two stroke issue, sometimes 99% of people wanting something isnt enough.

Fair, schmair. It's pretty simple. Start with a $100,000 bonus (or $50,000, or whatever) awarded to the gross points leader. It does not matter what the split is between Nats and SX.

You want the money? Then you probably ought to race them all.

Its just math.. Just give slightly increased points for the series with fewer rounds.

Why would the promoters have to agree? Heck, we could award our own VitalMX Grand National Champion based on the points in both the Supercross and Outdoor series and we don't promote either.

I would love it if they had a Grand National Championship, but anyone that thinks this is going to happen is hallucinating.

Feld has nothing to gain out that. Hell, SX would love to get rid of the entire outdoor season. Why would they want to do cross promoting?
