I think the teams have a much better handle on the altitude and heat issues than they did several years ago.
Obama sucks and the EFI prolly has something to do with the "handle"

Why would I care what Marty told me? I raced both a 250 National and a Trans-AMA 250 Support class there, and it sucked both times. Sure, it was cool for Lackey, Magoo and Schultz, who knew where all the concrete curbs were at underneath all that brush...not to mention that their works bikes soaked up those g-outs and rock hard landings better. That place was a wheel breaker!

I still managed to finish in the top twenty, big deal I know, but not bad considering I hated every minute out there. The highlight of my Sears Point experiences was something that happened that I'd forgotten about completely until Warren Reid reminded me of it not long ago. He and I almost had a head-on collision when I did a practice start and turned around and was going backwards on the start straight or the track or some shit...he remembered it, but I guess I blocked it out along with the rest of that weekend.

But you are right about the Bay area being a fantastic destination spot! It doesn't get any better than The City for fine dining and culture...

Bauer you went wrong when you switched to HONDA. I rode with rider's that were just as fast as you if not faster, Steve Martin, Kenny Keylon, Juan Benevides.

The track was cool, turned out way better than I expected. It wasn't a supercross, and it made for good racing. It was unique and memorable, which is what I think is one of the most important things for an MXDN venue.

When you said Sears Point I was thinking the race track alone, then putting it in the same class, and thinking you were saying it was the destination. I didn't equate it to the area as a destination spot.You bring up excellent points. I would rather go to Sears point to include all those spots in a trip, I am all for it, sign me up.

It would be a nice follow up from this years in Franciacorta Italy. Much of the same type area as the San Joaquin valley.

oops already said...my bad..Actually Tiki... Sonoma/Napa wine country is famous all over the world.. Theres a lake and beautiful country side, close to SF.. The euro's would probably love the fact it looks kinda like the european country side...... But like you what do i know...lol

Lot of earthquakes latley, but since we live on top of Granite we don't feel them until they get really big. I guess there were a few over 4.0 last week.

Yeah soon as FTE pointed out the neighboring area, it all came clear. It would be an excellent place for a race.

Steve.... Just because it kicked you're ass doesnt mean it was bad or in you're words "sucked". Sears kicked ass, it was the west coast unadilla...IMO. Maybe it just didnt fit you're so cal style and as far as wheel breakers are you kidding me, what would you call saddleback and carlsbad...? loamy play areas...?

Sears would likely be warmer than Denver. Cygnus reported some snow in the area, LAST WEEK. (too early, huh?)

what is funny about ys and the track selectors is if they did select a real motocross track (natural terrain off camber etc.) they might have a better chance at a win (non win by usa).

american riders are simply too fucking badass for the rest of the world right now....and that is not going to change anytime soon. possibly when we don't give a shit anymore like we did a few years back
