I had a feeling this is how the Republican primary would play out. Each candidate to throw their hat in the ring will be savaged by their fellow Republicans. The Dems don't have to say a word. By the time we really get into primary season each candidate will already have a specific (and mostly untrue) negative narrative built around their name, and instead of focusing on the actual substance of their respective campaigns the candidates will spend their time and money addressing and deflecting personal attacks and accusations from their own party. By election time they will all look batshit crazy and, more importantly, unelectable.
