Disappointed in the Guts seat foam.  Looking at both of them back to front, next to one another, stock foam looks even flatter than the Guts foam. I'm a bit bummed that I ordered it before knowing better.  I asked Keefer on twitter and was told it would be better than stock.

I'm literally gonna put my new Guts cover on the stock foam, and put my Guts foam on a shelf.  I may actually sand the Guts foam to my liking like I did my Surron recently.

Edited to sound less like a bitch.

Anyone have info when Acerbis skid plates or similar coming out?  400 dollars for lightspeed is just too much. (product+shipping+taxes)

Finally got the new bike together and went for the initial ride. The bottom end is very smooth and the mid range comes on strong and pulls forever. I never felt the nervousness others speak of, but we have slower, deeper tracks than the west coast. I set my fork height at 5mm with a sag of 100mm and will run that until i can test a faster track in a couple of weeks.

How do you like your 405 mods suspension? Wanted to get mine done and have heard good things about Dylan.

Dylan does a great job, you should definitely give him a shot. He's about to install a suspension dyno for even greater fine tuning also.

I ordered mine from FMF direct in November. Mid pipe is supposed to ship late this week or next I believe. The muffler is the same as 22’s so if you can find a used one around it’ll work.

What website are y’all finding the gytr stuff on. I noticed yesterday they changed the hanger on the chain guide so the previous years won’t fit. I bought one before I got the bike and assumed they were the same. It’s the same bolt pattern but the upper block won’t slide into the holder

I have the fmf muffler and was thinking of maybe switching to akrapovic. But it looks like you’re in Europe?

After years of riding Honda it’s time to try something else. Just waiting for some good weather here in the Netherlands.

Airfilter system looks fine, just curious how the system is doing by the others? Read an article from MXA where they put the airfilter system in their ‘hate list’. It looks better than the Honda system for me…

Hey.  Has anyone had a chance to play around with the power tuner app?  I'm curious how smooth or mellow the lowest setting is with full traction control.

I watched a video of a KTM 450 with their app on the smoothest setting and full traction control and he commented saying it was similar to a 250 power wise.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fWXiiiSdLVQ

I want more power than a 250f. A 450 is too much at times.  Hoping the app can find a middle ground like a 350 (not a fan of the KTM.  Too much money and I don't like the airfork).

I may be interested when you're ready. You going to Daytona?

I’ll be out of town for Daytona. I’m going to Tampa this weekend. I can ship it now if you really want it. I have the fmf header on order so if that ships before I’ll just keep fmf. Message me your number if interested.

Recommend laying the bike on the side when changing out a dirty filter and having a vacuum handy. Also recommend getting Twin Airs due to the foam on the sealing lip being thicker and wider. To me it feels like the filter cage doesn't seal really tight to the air box so probably why MXA recommends using grease. My filter wasn't that dirty and i had the bike laying on the side and even when being careful pulling the dirty filter dirt fell in but with the bike on the side it lays to where you can get the dirt out easily. If the bike is upright it goes down to the TB. Not the best designed air box by any means! Eager to see what Twin Air comes up with?

Clutch cover is my first go-to on a new bike to maximize resale value.  I have had Hinson on my last 2 Kawis but got GYTRs on all of my YZ smokers before that.  Hinson and GYTR are both insanely resistant to wear that you normally see on stock covers.

The second 2023 450 in this thread I've noticed with Michelin tires...I've been running SC5 for years and about to find out how SC6 feels soon.  Rear tires I'm kinda impartial but I've liked how the Starcross fronts feel compared to Dunlops.  I get to try Dunlops every couple years when I buy a new bike :D

Is that MotoSeat?  The logo looks like it but I haven't seen them offer for this bike yet and the rib pattern isn't like what I'm used to.

$6.99 for a can of high temp enamel spray paint makes this cover with over 120 hours on it look brand new. Clutch covers are cool though 👍

Actually found them on the for sale forum. They are the same as the 22’s.

I'm not a fan of changing out bike plastics / retrofits but I like the front fender on these quite a bit.

What does everyone think about 23 front end plastic conversion for 2 strokes? Aesthetic is a little off but I can't quite tell how I think it'll look.

ClubMX ran the '23 450 front end on JMarts 250 a little bit in preseason. I personally thought it looked terrible. It looks fine on the '23 450 as it flows with the rest of the bike. But I personally am not a fan of how it looks on the prior gen 4strokes. They look good as-is. As far as the 2strokes, I think it could work on on those bikes, since it has a similar, smoother look to the bodywork, similar to the new 450 (assuming you are talking about a 22-23 2stroke.) I'd have to see it before I knew if I liked it. But I certainly think it could look decent on the new-gen 2strokes, but not the 21 and prior. Just my opinion of course, it's your bike.

Yes, I think it would look good on the 22+ but mine is a 21 ):

Only 1 I had and it's not too bad from this angle. I mostly saw it on video footage.  From the side it just looked weird because the rear fender on these bikes is rather long, so the short front looked out of place. It looks cool on the new 450 though.

It’s not ugly because it’s a last gen bike. Its ugly because of that awful white. The fender is fine. Lose the chunky white plastic though

F43F205C-F7F4-4FA5-A520-CE2D4FC868DFThanks! Before I traded my ‘21 in it was meticulously cleaned, got all new plastic, refreshed/painted clutch cover, valves checked, and grease where it needed it. Every bike I sell or trade in gets the same treatment. Small price to pay to ensure nobody has any obvious reasons why they don’t wanna pay what I’m asking. Plus the next guy gets a sweet bike that’s ready to rip. A roached out bike destined to sit outside at a dealer rusting away is not going to get you very far on your next bike 👍

Just had contact with Twin Air. But a powerflow kit is not coming out earlier then end of March. So I think you guys in the US will not have it earlier then April unfortunately.
