What has happened to one of my favorite podcasts- MXVice? Really hard to listen to the new guys. So many lags and audio issues. Come home Lewis. Give us some MXGP pods with that smooth wit of yours. VitalMXVice or VitalMXGP. Name your price.

Sorry, he’s too busy guiding the Sexton ship to return to his motherland.

We’ll be doing more GP coverage with him here and have a GP pod planned when it gets closer to season/in-season.

I've been trying to listen, but it's been pretty rough on the 2023 MX Vice scene. James is funny and likeable, but Lewis was the glue holding it together.

I'd still very much like to support them but the audio issues plaguing every podcast have been making it a non-starter. They really need to make certain before they get their guests on the line that they have a good solid connection and if they don't, simply apologize and tell them that they'll have to try again some other time. On the Vlaanderen pod it was obvious they had an connection issue with their guest about halfway through, but they just tried to force it along instead of recognize that it wasn't going to work. I tried to listen to the review show today as well and couldn't get past Dylans introduction before the popping and cutting out made me move on.

I did think it was very classy of them on #112 to give Lewis and the other MXVice member a nice send-off.

You can keep him, and as with most Brits who work in the US, Piers Morgan, James Corden etc you’ll get bored of him too, and ship him back!

It took them weeks to destroy a brand that been built up over years.

If they just would have had some quality control on the content before letting it out.

Maybe even worse it letting the content out despite knowing the issues. Makes it look like a totalt shitshow.

Please send him and anything to do with boring ass MXGP back to Europe.  I'm kidding I like Lewis, and find him entertaining.  But I don't understand how anyone is into MXGP.

I grew up in the 80's loving Euro MX.  Couldn't wait for the new MXA every month to see the cool tracks, boutique brand bikes, works bikes, riders all of it. Couldn't get enough of it!

Now...it's like watching paint dry.  No, I'm not bashing euro riders.  They're as good if not better than US riders, but I don't find one thing about it interesting.  Anyone else with me on this or am I just a weirdo?

The content goes out live I do believe. James and Ed on the podcast can hear more of what the guest is hearing than we can. As most things, when changes are made, teething problems occur. Quite sure they’ll work it out.

Sure, but problem was not there before. Now it's 3 pods in a row. That's being sloppy and unfortunately it sets a mark in the brand.

They had enough to handle with Lewis not being there lacking some deepth and general consistency both content wise and audio quality wise.

Adding this, and it sounds like a beginners show.

I watch every MXGP race. I try to love it. But I can understand where you are coming from. It can be very boring. They need to promote the riders, factory bikes and the teams better. Need much better coverage as well. They have the right guy announcing the races, just give him a better show. They also need to find a way to go Australia for a few rounds, to the US for a few rounds and a Candian round if they really want the sport to grow the sport.

Vital MXGP podcast would be great. And James at MXVICE will get it straighten out. He's a GREAT guy

The show didn’t go out live when Lewis was on it, and there was no long live call in with video to riders. It’s a totally new show and concept. You can’t get better insight than having actual riders on the show for a long length of time. If you listened to the GP riders post race podcasts, you’d know exactly what Lewis would talk about on the podcast, so IMO not that insightful. The audio gremlins will be sorted out I am sure.

Have you ever attended MXGP in person out of the USA?

It's crazy how much European fans are into the sport, especially the French.  It's exciting to see all the flag waving for a lot of the top riders and the fans are insane and lots of fun. -

I went to a few last year, and will be going to 4 or 5  this year.

That said, the TV broadcast is a little dry sometimes with just Mailin, they need a second color guy and a pit and track for live shots like they do at supercross with JT.

I'm out on mx vice. They had 3 chances and still chose to keep the low quality shows online even after it has been pointed out that it's shit.

Lewis going was one thing. Dropping both content quality and production quality doesn't hold up. To much content out there right now.

I've not met Ed, but have met James a couple of times in passing and he's clearly a good dude.

I appreciate the pod isn't quite polished yet after the shuffle, but it's obviously a big change with Lewis gallivanting across America (he's doing a grand job, of course), and the folks who are still here deserve a chance to find their feet and sort out the niggles / constructive criticism.

Remember James is also running a nice little gear/parts shop, so he can't solely focus on the media side of things.

Finally, if they've put out a couple of shows that aren't there quality wise, then taking them down / burying them doesn't do anyone any favours, at least it still gives people the option to listen and if they want to skip those, that's totally fine too, it's your choice 👍

Good that Vital will use this chance to give the fans proper GP content through Lewis, it would be a waste to not do more GP stuff with Lewis in the company.

As for MX Vice, i'm absolutely going to keep listening and reading their stuff. But i'll do in once the sound issues are fixed, you can't put out audio like the one with Vaessen's issues. Bummer because he seems like a good guy and he seemed to have lots of things to say, but they're bringing him back for a new episode so that is good.
