this atitude is what feeds the ama vs gp thing..........thats why only americans like americans..........
there is a really good chance that aussies take it this year.......as a mx fan i think they deserve a win as australia and new zeland have been giving the mx world great riders..... i see it as only fair for them since they have been unlucky in this race.......
so why can't the americans admit that and congratulate the winners if they dont take it.....why do they always have to steel protagonism from the others wins....
i am portuguese...i hope rui does good....he's a tough competitor....came up 2º and with a bad shoulder injury at the decision time of the championship....and he's a great starter.....so i think he can be a contender if the shoulder lets him.......but even being european doesnt give me the right to claim cairoli or musquin or roczen wins.....they are not from my country.....!!!!!!!!!
the americans dought they riders......they dont have a dream team this year.......they see a strong aussie team......so this year they are americans......they have been racing ama for years but now they count.....if the us team was rv, rd and ma i dought they would consider the aussies americans....!!!!!!!!
i only have one good rider from my country, he might not even do good.....but i am proud of him anyway.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to be considered the best in the World, come to America and win an AMA 450 championship !

If you want to Stereotype, and Cry like a baby, go to Ponta Delgada-azores, PRT !

i thought it was cool to see searle, tyla, pourcel, etc ive never seen these guys except from what i read/ hear or se eon tv. all the non us riders get alot of respect from the fans from the race i saw. fans are still cheering for them just as much and we all want to see fast riders haul ass.it was cool seeing Desalle at washougal. i think his smoooth riding style complemented the washougal track. alot like pourcel .

Like some say, what's new? The sober ones pretty soon acknowledge the 250 class in the US as more stacked compared to MX2. Who didn't? Like BoobM says, kind of fit's Rattrays agenda at this point?

Also the same sober, less emotional probably also saw the MX1 being the faster than the 450 in the US (did I really say that, wow!!!). This change from year to year of course. Same genes stock training around the world, sometimes a talent pop in the US, sometimes they pop in the rest of the world, but in the end it all levels out.

What's really amazing though is to see these post pop up every third week or so. My suggestion is that those who think it's so damn important that "my series" is the best, most prestigious etc and on top of that have that urge to force that opinion on others need some kind self esteem boost not to be find here.

Also this OPINION what series is the most prestigious is a personal matter and there's an obvious connection to your personal references. What goes for YOU doesn't necessarily goes for me. Some like Corvette while others like Porsche.

The mxDn should be something to look forward to, but I get the impression this event might come out as a trauma, or salvation for some...

If the USA doesn't win, I will still look forward to see where these guys end up....

Chad won't dominate... I like CR but he rarely dominates.. he waits for mistakes. RD could do it if he doesn't wind up on his head, Weimer too...

So I guess the autograph lines for Team USA will be empty this year.Tongue If the Aussies win, great for them! They deserve it. They are still from another country even if they did gain their skills here on the AMA circuit. They are cool, well spoken guys who have tons of fans here in America. But they aren't Americans. We still cheer for them, because we like their speed, style, personalities or a dozen other things.

The riders that come here from other countries with a humble personality and not running their mouth, gain fans here even when they smoke our guys.We respect their talent so they are just riders. If they come here bragging on how well they will do,they lose some respect. Especially when they can't hang. Sand specialist, blah, blah, blah. TC has bike issues or tries to turn left 5 feet out of the gate, blah, blah, blah. GP vs. AMA blah, blah, blah. How many years have we had to beat the world since 1981?Cool

Will we get beat this year? Possibly. Can we win as a team? Most likely. Either way,the MXoN is a cool event. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I just hope all the top competing teams make it through without injury, crashes or mechanicals.

The way you describe it is actually correct, its just the literal idea of it is amusing - kind of like MX popcorn.

I wish I could communicate as well Swedish as you can English, then maybe me and my friends wouldn't have accumilated such a ridiculously large bill in a Stockholm strip club last June! There was alot of talent popping up that night thats for sure.

Fuck it cracks me up how the 3rd winningest rider in the AMA is constantly crapped on by everyone...

Reedy is unreal on a bike, you'll all miss him when he is driving supercars and no one even thinks about beating Bubba...

Nothing personal but you just got "owned" in a thread you started about Mariana Balbi. You didn't even know how they qualified, yet you are a better judge than someone that has raced both series???

That is hilarious...Rattray a champion who has raced against both has no idea what he is talking about. You people are crazy!

I don't really get into the bashing of Euro riders, or get off saying US riders are better. What the hell does it really matter to me. Yeah I'm American but it really doesn't make a rats ass to me who's really better. It's just a fact. Anyone that know's mx can watch both and easily see the US riders are faster and deeper. I'm amazed that someone can try to disprove that.

Again I'm not knocking any Euro riders and there are some very fast ones. But if you're trying to say that it's the same or faster over there than it's stupid pride or you're a moron. I will even add that sometime prior to the 1970's it was the exact opposite. I'm not afraid or upset to say it. The Euro's were the $hit. Everything cycles and one day it could very well be the Euro's get the upper hand.

Stewart could of rode if he wanted to but he would rather race around local tracks giving out free t-shirts.

RV and Alessi are injured...just like Cairoli and C.Pourcel were last year. If C.Pourcel wasn't injured you would of probably come 2nd at donington park.

All this injury shit you Americans like to talk about is pointless.

I agree wiI agree with you about Reed--he is amazing. I also agree that we will miss him, much as we miss Carmichael now. But if you think no one is going to think about about beating Stewart, I would suggest you may have forgotten about a rider named Villopoto who had just started eating the 450 class alive at Glen Helen when he got injured.

Been to Portugal a couple of times, and was treated wonderfully.

Not sure "only Americans like Americans" bud. But understand your animosity which is usually based upon a healthy dose of ignorance and a little bit of jealousy from European sheep. Seen it a more than a few times, mostly younger folks.

I knew as soon as I read Rattray's interview the shit would hit the fan. What's interesting is Grant Langston (you remember him right?) said something similar while he was doing TV comentary this year.

This would be like Villopto going to Europe after winning the AMA 250 championship and saying the GP field was faster and deeper and fought harder, and then all the Americans calling bullshit on him. Well guess what...you CAN'T call bullshit on your former champion who has ridden both and is calling it like he sees it.

Reedy is unreal on a bike, you'll all miss him when he is driving supercars and no one even thinks about beating Bubba...

your sorely mistaken, reed is great to watch when he on it. if you watch reed he brings a supercrosss style to his outdoor riding. watch the way he hits the jumps, its alot different than the other guys.

Australia should make the podium and on paper they look real strong and should have a chance to win. . . but outside of Reed, the other guys are not that consistent - So, it's going to take some luck for Australia to win it.

Team USA has virtually dominated the MXoN in the modern era so they should not be taken lightly. USA are the defending Champs and we send some very talented riders to represent us this year

Motodude, your posts of late have not even been worth the time you took to type them.

Our 450's were weak this year once RV, Alessi and Grant were out (and Bubba stayed home.) Even a K-dub (who raced every weekend not just a one off race on a 250f) would have been up high in this class.
