I know it’s cliche but since the KTM 300SX is a 250 with a big bore kit: https://aomc.mx/55730905144.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos…
However GasGas also makes the EX300 so it would be easy for them to convert it to MX.

Hey Burn1986, I'm reffering to TBI models - I guess there will be more stuff different, than just the 300ccm cylinder, etc.
I also think there willl only be a EX 300 and no MC 300 as even Husky has no TC 300 until now...
I would expect to see the same models they have now but obviously the updated versions. So MC125 and 250. The only curveball KTM could throw which I really doubt they would do is to keep carbs on the gasgas MC bikes.

Hopefully they keep the GG's carb'd. Keep a cheap, simple, option for people that don't want all the electronics and headaches.
I agree with that sentiment, but after riding one of the new TBI 300s (the 2023 Husky) I was pretty blown away. I prefer my (carbureted) Sherco in tight, techy stuff, but the TBI was pretty amazing...
125's are a whole different story. The GasGas won the shootout because it weighs 10 lbs less and has 3 more HP than the TBI bikes. And the TBI 125's run like crap and are having tons of problems. The mapping is totally hosed on them and the ECU is locked so fixing it is a nightmare. And 125's are supposed to be a cheap bike for teenagers. It makes no sense to complicate them and make them expensive. Who needs e-start on a 125? It's dumb. In any case, they already have 2 TBI bikes. Leave one carb'd and simple. Same for the 250/300. Leave the option there.
To your point, I have a question please. Does anybody know if there is some kind of notifications (email, text, whatever) to get alerted when KTM has MAP updates for these new TBI bikes? I suspect as they iron out the issues, updates will be available, but I have no idea how to tell when that happens.
I have a new TC125 that I have only been able to heat cycle and run around the neighborhood real fast (the weather on weekends in WA has sucked the past month). So far it seems to run slightly rich, but it isn't even broken in yet so I can't really tell much. It sounds and feels crisp though. Getting spare plugs for these is a whole new problem, they are nowhere to be found right now.
Thanks!
