as Huck was eluding to some of this is my fault but she was already like this before i came along. I made some bad choices and now we are divorced. I just wish i could have my boy. He does not know any better and thinks his mommy is ok she just makes mistakes sometimes.

There is one really good side to this, which some here will disagree with and hate, but it'll be good for your son to grow up in a home free of stigmas, biases and hatred for homosexuals and homosexuality....all he will know is people are people and people love people....not that everything is black and white.

It would be much better if gays and lesbians just ended up figuring it out early and marrying someone of their own sex, but many in our society can't see past the BS on that issue.
Oh I agree Nerd, I wasnt meaning to imply that Gay people are irresponsible. I only meant that the Gay people I know, they knew about this difference as far back as they could remember and society & family caused them to keep it to themselves. The Gay people I know are top shelf people and more level headed than most straight folks.

well these two are idiots! I protected her from herself while we were married. The girl she is with was a meth head and has no driver's license due to DUI. She has a 15 year old daughter that she gave to her parents to raise because her life was so fucked up. i could go on but who would listen?

He needs to stay a child and not have to learn all the statistics, ideas, and reasons for this happening; he needs to be more worried about the things little kids have to think about.

You think the environment they see is a DUI and former meth head, not just two lesbians?

I would have no problems with letting my kid go to a friend's house who had two moms or dads, but there is no way in hell my kid will go near someone who was or is a drug user.

I don't get out of anything. I just get to hear about the audacity of it all from everyone I encounter that knows us both. The girl she is with is probably 8 years or so older than her and probably goes about 200 pounds. The ex has gained a ton of weight since they have been together. All I ever hear is how nasty she has become.

You can't place any of your relationship problems on them and focus only on their well being. To many parents get caught up in trying to win over the kids on their side. All you can do is just be the more mature parent .
Been divorced now nearly 10 yrs and what fcr says it right. My son was 9, daughter 12 at the time and it really rips a fathers heart out..BUT I didnt fight her for custody, I rolled with the punches and we both focused on the kids knowing we loved them above all else. Its a tough pill to take DF, its the best one for the kids so they dont get fukked up like your 300lb ex Ellen lovin dyke.
