RIP I always liked One Punch. I met him at Club Moto back in the day. He was a really cool dude and nothing like the character he played.

He made himself a pretty good living with that gimmick. I think his dad was or had connections to pro wrestlers and he saw how pro wrestlers used their "gimmick" to get noticed. He did the same thing and it worked. How many privateers have been included in the opening ceremonies at a Supercross? Just like Deegan before him he beat a lot of factory guys and should have been on factory equipment. But the factories weren't touching guys like them that marched to the beat of their own drum and didn't fit the role of what a factory rider should be.

Isn't this the reason why we need more "Arenacross" like tracks? People in the stands are probably still talking about the race! Big 180° bowl turns always deliver!

I didn’t know that about his Dad. Very cool info. Tyler is missed for sure👍

He can’t. The sideshow shit is all that keeps him going. He’s like Ronnie Mac except they still let him line up for the big show.

Good for him I guess, he rides a dirbike for a job, but he’s a sideshow. Not a coincidence he looks like Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons.

Anyone who thinks Cade “took out RankDog” in the first turn is an idiot.

Honestly off the top of my head I couldn't tell ya. I've hit my head quite a few times, but I think it was usually the second tier factory guys who were racing in that era. Guys like Hamblin, Voss, Bryne, Wey? I dunno give yourself a little project for the night and do some research...

there is no group of people that will argue a particular issue to death more than dirt bike guys. It's seriously odd. We're about to be at page 8. Nothing much to add (I chimed in once earlier) but it's just odd how MX guys will absolutely die on a hill with their particular opin. Carry on.

We made a family trip around the Toronto SX one year. Our boys were around 10 & 12 then. Had seats next to the aisle in the second row from the top of the lower bowl. Night show time and the intros and entrances are up next. I glance over my right shoulder and there is Tyler sitting right behind my kids, waiting to make his big entrance down the aisle. I said, holy shit - then told my kids to turn around and say hi. They were a little mind blown. He had a couple minutes to talk and say hi, and we got some great pics with him and the kids. Then he was off down the aisle in the spotlight and the crowd did their crowd thing. That was pretty cool and one of my best memories with my kids when they were growing up - never know what will happen out of the blue and stick with you for years after. Really sucks what happened to him.

Ya that was hard to watch. I recently found all my old school vhs tapes of mx, sx, and fmx videos in my storage and have been watching them. It's sad to see a bunch of guys that are now gone or badly hurt. I'm just glad that other people saw what type of person he was without the spotlight on him or what they perceived him as.

My opinion is I think it's fine that Stank did what he did.  It was also fine Cade did what he did.  Even more so depending on your moral compass and how old you are.  Stank could've skipped the instabanger, but it probably helps him with clicks.  I could give two flushes about anything Cade since he talked shit about Stew and the whoops on pulp last year or so.  I find the fact their was a pit altercation even better.  If Cade said he'd kill him, and Stank cracked him, that's great!  I tell friends, don't honk your horn at people in your car unless you're prepared to deal with the road rage that may happen after.

I use to think Steinke was entertaining until I saw his interview on Gypsy tales when he repeatedly told Jace how he (Gared) is really smart, then would make the dumbest F`ng comment, over and over.

I dunno.    It looked like Stankdog gave Cade more room at the top of that turn thand Cade gave Stankdog.

I honestly don't care, but why should the guy on the inside with a wheel on Stank have to give him room? 🤔 that is Stankdogs problem, he could've braked or laid off the gas. He was clearly beat to the first turn, he could've still started top 3 or 4 and worked from there. It's Arenacross. Somewhere Antunez, Denny, Bowers, and Demuth are laughing at this.

As someone who fought professionally, chased it my whole life, I don’t think throwing punches is cool, outside of a sanctioned and regulated event.

Then why brag about it?

Absolutely amazing that the vitards think it was OK because Cade controlled the inside yet Bam Bam is the dirtiest rider on the planet. Why doesn't their logic apply here?

you know, your Droopy profile pic goes perfectly with everything you respond with. HAHA.. Love it

soggy breaks my balls all the time, but he is right. How is this even a discussion? If you ever raced this is a given. You make it to the first turn with a wheel ahead, you decide where you want to go and the people behind you can deal with that on their own. Lol good god. Some of these posters here blow my mind.

Nothing to add, and of course you're welcome to your opinion, but I just wanted to say you have hands down the weirdest takes I've seen in a long time, thank you 🤣

For how incapable of seeing the details and nuances or being able to distinguish between different lines or the differences in passes, it comes across as batshit crazy...

Um because he is a Stud? That worx apparently? I have a hard time believing that someone who fought "professionally" has never been involved in or seen a fight pop off out of no where. I know several people in the Norcal region that fight professionally. Some even under Caesar Gracie and a few that were trained 1 on 1 by Renzo Gracie in bjj since their teens. Lol they were not guys that fought for the honor and respect of the sport. They were guys with anger issues and instead of fighting anywhere they could like bars, parties, social gatherings on the Delta in Stockton. They decided to still fight but get paid instead of arrested. A very small percentage of pro mma fighters are in it for the honor. You've watched Bloodsport way too many times. Frank Dux was a fraud.

Not aimed at you, and I know this is more of a Gypsy Tales topic, but obviously the Gracies are good at what they do, especially marketing, I even have one of their affiliated schools in my remote area of the UK. And obviously BJJ as a whole has shaped the world from hobbyists through to am and professional tournaments and fights and even to certain military applications and tonnes of media exposure, but using the Gracies as any benchmark of integrity/general skilled fighters isn't ideal. Many are more in the classic GSP mindset of why fight some dude in a bar when you can test your skill against a real opponent, not all Bas Ruten street fighter 🤣

As you say, many of the gracies were just bullies with bad attitudes and anger issues toward normal folks in Brazil, rather than stand up guys (no pun intended).

Back on topic, Steinke was a straight up dick here, especially playing Billy Badass on Instagram.

I 100% agree with everything you said, these guys were/are a complete 180 from the GSP outlook. I will say they were interesting to hangout with, especially before the UFC became mainstream. Some were pretty damn laid back and others kinda looked for it. But anytime you get males and females drinking heavily it's only a matter of time. I have seen a skinny unintimidating guy beat the piss out of a tatted up weightlifting guy almost twice his size. Again this was before mma took off. Everyone was in shock. It was one of the more amazing things I had seen, until I actually learned what it was about. But ya most of them were hot heads or bullies, just not you pictured to be those 2 things.

Stink Puppy with more fatherless behavior. Surrounding yourself with yes men who justify you acting like a child. We hear stories time and time again about Stink Puppy running that mouth but never actually doing anything. Little boy always writing checks with that mouth that his ass can’t cash. Any time I see a video of him in an “altercation” the common re-occurrence is he is always a lap down. One of his little buddies need to grow a back bone and inform stink that this isn’t 2015 anymore and to give it up.
