At least that confirms that we don't really have any tracks in KY. 9 total in 40,000 square miles.
Any insight on this? It's not like people here don't ride. We need a nice facility so bad.
No idea why, most of the tracks, at least in Northern Ky where I am, seem to be north in Ohio. I am sure there are other tracks not on that list, but few and far between. Been riding about 40 years and each year something else shuts down. There are some offroad areas with trails I think, but even those not as easy to find any more from what I here.
Looks like you can add more to it too. I know Massachusetts is missing a few. Crow, 508 and Wareham / Diamond MX come to mind. That is a great reference site for planning a trip out of your area.
EDIT: As I post this those tracks are suddenly added.
So, a ratio of 1 to 4,444 sq mi. If I go by that site, AZ is 7 tracks in 113,990 sq mi or 1 to 16,284 ! So, about 4 times worse, ugggh!
But that doesn't even tell the whole story because really only 3 of those tracks are public, year round, actually "available". The rest are private, clubs, only open occasionally, etc.
What's crazy is I know of 3 located all on same street as Nickota that is listed on that page. But one is a membership only track/trails (Saddleback East) and the other is track and trails but is for sale and not operating currently (Dirty Turtle). But then the next places to ride are nowhere near me, and those are still over 1 hour away and not really the best places to ride.
I've never seen the site but I love the quality pics of the tracks.
Call me a poser all you want but I'd seriously consider doing that to my truck. lol
