Barcia is usually in pretty good shape, no need for him to go there IMO.

how's that?? I've never known Barcia to surge late in races...??? he always seems to drop spots at the end, not gain...

Losing spots does not = lack of fitness.

Faster guys just caught up.

I don't think Barcia is out of shape or necessarily needs Aldon. However he's always been 1% away from championship contender, where a change could be all he needs. What other high profile KTM-group rider hasn't trained with Baker?

I think his riding has been really good the last few seasons. Really great footwork on the bike and very centered neutral riding position. So I disagree, I don't think he needs a riding coach at all. He just seems to get flustered when he's battling in the pack with riders he feels he is "better" than. If anything the guy needs a mental coach to work on racing forward and focusing on himself when he is deep in traffic

Somebody needs to tell Marty Tripes and Stefan Everts about this new style….

Prior mx era racers get next to zero credit for what they did. Ive been watching a lot of old races. Those guys were incredible. The new generation fans need a fucking history lesson.Fuckin millennials.

Barcia doesn’t want to pay the $200 K to ride and train at Bakers factory, don’t blame him.

Probably because he'd take the guys out during practice.

Mosiman was there for ages.

But he started there when he was on husky.

He stayed there when he was on gasgas till Will hahn joined. Then he left to train with Will.

No idea where brown has ever trained.

Also the old TLD KTM team was where Aldon started working with 250 riders, I believe.

IIRC the 250 guys on TLD were training at Baker's facility, but under Tyla Rattray at the time.  Once Tyla left Mike Brown was brought in to be the replacement. He currently works with Swoll, Vialle and Vohland I believe.  When Mosiman was with Husky I am pretty sure he was with the Rattray/Brown crew.

The guys working with Aldon directly are usually a small group of 4-5 max, mostly 450 guys. Marvin was there for his last 250 year (I think), Zacho was there on a 250, and now RJ.

Regarding Barcia, who knows if he ever expressed interest.  Aldon certainly gets to pick who he wants. Back when Dean Wilson was at Redbull-KTM he got flicked by Aldon before boot camp, after moving to Clermont.
