Have you thought about racing offroad or just didn’t know we existed? Well here we are and we start racing on the west coast in January. We are a AMA National Championship Series that hosts Grand Prix style races. Grand Prix is a combination of motocross, offroad, pavement sections and more. Come give us a try! Find us @ngpcseries or at NGPCSeries.com
NGPC races are a blast.
Any chance of getting some rounds further north in 2024?
Every year I say I’ll be ready to do the whole series.. and I always come up short and half ass do my local round and feel like I’m dying. Still place well though lol.
this is such an awesome series
Round 1 always looks fricken epic.

GP's are awesome! If you haven't tried them before, you should. NGPC does an awesome job, especially in light of the fact that all races are run by the clubs. Love the new start procedure ya'll are implementing. Our only complaint is parking can be a bit of a shit show with RV's coming in early, circling up and creating compounds...But that is not unique to NGPC its just magnified because its such a big draw. Gonna run entire series this year!
Couple of questions, How long are the motos? how exactly does this work? How fast is the Novice class?
Biggest series i ever did, was the swap moto triple crown... so two 5 lap motos on the vet track
Anyhow im interested, But im not trying to come of the couch and do a 4 hour race lol. Basically i have zero idea what i would be getting myself into if i sign up.
Races are 45 I think for most classes. Pro/Open A races are 90 min. As noted by OP GP is 1/2 Moto track 1/2 open desert. Most guys feel they are “fast”. So if you’re used to more woods/2 track when riding off-road the pace is much faster because the tracks are more open. The Moto stuff is moto stuff. Go to moto-tally and look at lap times for most races to get a feel for how many laps and times each class does. D-37 runs the series and so their classes are labeled different than most others so go to their website and see rules section to figure out what class you’d run. Long short is most guys love the series but definitely more demanding than typical moto races Hope that helps
novice is sandbagged.. the top 2-3 are usually faster than all of B. 45-60 minute race unless you sign up for the 1.5 hour.
unclassified race is first in the morning, 1-2 laps to learn the track.
overall it’s a ton of fun and I highly recommend it.
if you are showing up Saturday morning, go early so you can sign up and not have to rush to the line for unclassified
My 12th or 13th year racing this series. Can't wait for 2023!
This series looks awesome but I wish it wasn’t so regionally focused around so cal.
Preston and Detla are great additions to the series, hopefully the series branches out more and becomes a actual “national” series.
It would be interesting for sure. I know a lot of folks would lie to see more or at least something in Nor-Cal. That said, its hard for a series like NGPC and others like National Hare and Hound that depend on clubs to put on and promote the races. Many are not set up with enough staff as they are all volunteer unlike something like WORCS that is for profit. Both models have pluses and minuses. The other part is trying to get those that are used to following a "regional" series to travel. It becomes hard financially on those looking to grow in the sport as well as privateer pros. I think that is one reason top level national kids only do a handful of races a year. An average race weekend after gas, hotel, food and bike prep/fees end up being close if not over $1K a weekend.
Dave send me an email and I can break it all down for you and answer any questions you have

NGPC is a great off-road series on the west coast with a lot of diverse and varied terrain from round to round. Everything from grass tracks to hard pack to sand, the series has it all! Here's a GoPro video from each race to get a feel for what each round is all about.

I am planning racing a few of these this year. I was going to race blythe last year however I broke my foot a few days before. I did a local GP at GH & had a blast. Just curious if I’m looking at this # sheet correct? For +30A, I can run yellow backs with the red logo strip? The red logo strip goes below the numbers?
Yes, that is correct
Two years ago my family and a family friend on a trip to California for winter riding and vacation stopped by and raced the Taft round of NGPC. Without a doubt the most fun I have ever had on my motorcycle. Now, what has to be done to get a round up here at Washougal??? There are so many awesome venues up here that could host a bad ass race for the series.
Do I just run #N492 or do I have to register with NGPC first & get that approved? I appreciate the insight.
You’ll have to register with NGPC first and will run a V492 (Vet 450 class) or G492 (vet 250 class) if the number isn’t already taken
