(just saw a similar topic. My bad)
In years past we have seen winners at the opening round that were a surprise.
Even last year was a little unexpected.
I honestly believe it could be Roczen. He has aligned himself with the least pressure and we all know a comfortable Roczen is dangerous. In this scenario, it won’t be a shock though. I almost expect it.
I believe we see a newcomer. It’s going to be Craig or Colt Nichols hole-shot and run while the veterans duke it out behind them.
I’m taking Craig.
The RMZ450.
If Roczen can be labeled as a surprise winner, I am also going for Roczen for holeshot and win. But as a real surprise winner, I'll pick Nichols.
Merry Christmas Reeg!!
I also think Kyle Chisholm can do it!
Barcia comes out and bags his only win for the year...
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Barcia always does well early season.
It's his final year on his current contract and he said that he wants to race for another 3 yrs. The pressure will be on to secure a good ride for 24 and beyond.
Roczen is a very heavy favorite after winning all the off season supercrosses and returning to a superior chassis
10 years ago it was Davi Millsaps on the RMZ. I have a feeling it might be another Suzuki rider that surprises us this year.
I'm with you on CC
Justin Hill in qualifying maybe?
Roczen winning A1 wouldn't surprise me as much anymore.
So I'll go with
Craig, Ferrandis, Cianciarulo
OK the last one is maybe more wishful thinking than anything but then again would anyone be surprised if he crushes everyone in qualifying?
Malcolm
Can’t wait. A1 is anyones race, too much going on mentally for these dudes to think anyone is a lock for the podium. Wildcard for the box, Hill jr.
I can't wait for the gate to drop. How many of these guys can win it?
Who gonna pull the first holeshot ofthe year?
McAdoo and Forkner will both surprise in the 250 class. I think everyone is expecting Jett to absolutely stomp everyone from start to finish, but if there are two guys out there that can challenge him in supercross, it’s them.
The surprise, the new TV package working
not necessarily for the win Wilson top 5
Anaheim will go nuts if Malcolm gets it done. I'd love to see him get a win.
Pit Row
Would like to see someone who hasn't won before take the candles...
All these 250 riders need to do to get Jett of his game is frustrate him and make him ride out of his comfort zone. Jett will make mistakes he's human.
Colt can win it. Not much talk about him. New class, new bike, new team. Racers always seem to benefit from a big change early on in the season.
....i see the serial downvoter is up from his basement again.
450 is a full Vegas gamble but on the 250 I can see A-Rod holeshoting and leading a couple laps.
Ferrandis.
Anderson gets it done!
Tomac would be a surprise. Maybe this is the year he finally does it.
Roczen as an expected surprise, Malcolm as a surprise surprise!
But Chase for the title
Surprise?
Roczen, Tomac, Chase or Andersen doesn't win. Justin Hill or Colt Nichols finishes (both have speed, but I question ability to finish up front until they do). Dean Wilson top 5
Not a surprise (aside from opposite of above): Stewart, Craig, or Marv top 5
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Roczen, Anderson or Sexton win.
Would be surprised to see Tomac win A1, that could spell doom for everyone else.
I’d be shocked if Webb won after how he looked in the off season.
Then there’s a group that could holeshot and run away if there’s mayhem behind them; Musquin, Barcia, Mookie etc. Unfortunately not including Ferrandis in there, because I’d be surprised if he holeshot.
Bring it on!
Nichols, without any doubt.
