Just got done processing the order for it -exactly- as pictured int the above photo…except…in blue, of-course.

And, yes, it’s gonna be $68K.

Mid-Roof - Long Wheelbase Cargo AWD

Even-though it’s listed as having the Ecoboost engine as an option, well, it’s not. In fact, as soon as you tick-off the “Trail Package”, you’re getting that engine automatically.

Anyways, the point to all this is…as of today, you can order them and wait…until…potentially…next summer. So, I guess it’s a good thing I’ve got my Plain-Jane Transit for now! Laughing

You’ll like that engine. I just got a 22 f150 with it in and it doesn’t lack in get up and go!  Definitely better post up some pics when you get her all set up and loaded!

Good luck, Manny!

My buddy ordered his F350 Diesel, 4WD back in early February this year.

Has been pushed out about 9 times so far. And, he still hasn't taken delivery.

It may be a Christmas miracle if he gets it this year.  If not, he gets to roll into 2023 still waiting on his 2022 to arrive. WTF Ford?

He'll have it soon...UNLESS...he held-out when he was told he could get it sooner BUT -without- some of the stuff he asked for...just had a friend get a Raptor with a few "missing" features like a heated-steering wheel...in North F'ing Dakota! He's NOT happy. This is happening on the higher-end trucks...for the most part.

The '22s are about done being built (Super Duty) and they're about to begin building the 23s...he should be getting it soon.

I looked at this, but not super hard.  What separates it from a normal transit AWD that's worth the extra 20K or so?

Who is doing the conversation?  A co in Indiana where rv,s etc r made . There’s a field with aprox 1,500 sprinters waiting for conversions. I,m driving past it tomorrow going to Pa.

Just a heads up

The auto start stop removal removes the button to turn it off.

It's not a converted van, just a little nicer than a bare bones one

Keep an eye on that 10 speed auto trans (10R80) Ford has a TSB on every vehicle with this tranny and a class action lawsuit. I have a 2018 F150 2.7 ecoboost with this tranny and it started acting up around 57k miles. the Powertrain warranty is 5 years/60k miles. I love the truck but wouldn't own one past the warranty

My normal AWD was $68000. These seem like a no brainer. It’s basically just a 3” lift larger tires and special trim. With the adventure package stuff.

I drive past the KY speedway fairly often, if this is delayed like the 1000's of Ford Trucks that are sitting there, it may be a while.

People have been waiting on the regular AWD for over a year already.  What Ford does that’s lame is charge the extra $ that the model you eventually get retails for. Even tho people ordered the previous year van with the previous price they now have to pay the extra 10g or so that they went up during the year they had to wait for the one they ordered a year ago! I think if you order a van at an agreed upon price thats what you should pay when it’s delivered.

sorry to babble on about that lol

Here’s what a current Van stickers at and it’s got an Additional $20K “dealer mark-up” added to it on the dealer sticker…aka,”Hell No!”

This is a regular AWD (not a Trail) that’s a high roof. It’s about a grand less than what I ordered; but, it doesn’t have any of the suspension(Lift/Wider track), Fenders/Flares, Off-Road Modes/Transfer Case controls, SVT Rock-Rail Slider Steps, Front bash-plate/heavier skids/new center-stack-audio system…and the rest of the “Trail” package like the swivel seats (from the motorhome pkg)…etc.
For those that are talking about the “Auto On/Off” removal…all that does is remove the “Circle A” feature in the center-stack and the engine DOES NOT turn off at stop-lights. Already got an F150 with this “deleted” feature. It’s still a push-button start.
As for pricing: it’s locked in once you get a “build sheet” with the prices set on it. The only problem we’ve had with Ford is a Bronco that was delivered WITHOUT the Steel Front Bumper it’s suppose to have …and is listed on the window sticker…Laughing

I bought my current van in March of 2020 and I’ve had 3 dealers offer to buy it from me for more than I paid for it…that’s hilarious. My new Van is going to be full-retail which is a lot…but, I’m pretty sure A LOT of people are gonna be paying more…like they do on Raptors, Broncos, Transits…etc.

Just lined up a Raptor for retail. They’re out there. You just gotta get away from the Big City dealers. I got this Transit Trail at Team Ford in Las Vegas…they cut some deals for a group of us that do Baja & some media stuff. The owner is my neighbor here in Orange County. And, yes, nowadays “a deal” is getting it for retail 😂

Such a bargain since my AWD was the same price without some of those awesome options. The regular AWD comes with the same drive modes, the trail is just a trim package, the drivetrain is the same.

But one heck of an awesome package with the wider track, better looking wheels, taller tires, just the right ride hight. I can’t wait till you get it Manny so I can check it out.

Your van is awesome!

I’m going to need to build the back out & I’m thinking we need to have some carbon-fiber panels in there!

I’m getting this thing mostly for Eastern Sierra, Mojave and Baja “access”; so, I didn’t get the “extended” due to the over-hang being a bit of a challenge in some of the places I go. I’m sorta laughing at the different “ratings” on the 3.5 Ecoboost in the Van versus the F150. I wish they’d put the Powerboost in it! The way it’s built, I’m hoping to get 32s under it.

I didn’t realize the current AWD has all 5 modes. Nice! It’s going to be interesting to see what they did underneath the truck to get the lift and width.

Bro you have been threatening me with those Carbon panels forever, let’s do that!

I have 245/75 on mine it’s a 30.5” tire. With the trails lift you might get the 32s to fit.

From what I’ve read they are using spacers under the front subframe, like Quigley uses.

Had a 350L 10sp LWB High roof on order since Nov last year. Cancelled it 4 weeks ago as ford still don’t know when production is starting. Picking up new Series 8 9sp LWB High roof Ducato hopefully next week was supposed to be this week though🤷

I have a very adequate 2016 ecoboost passenger van that I’ve outfit exactly how I like with only 65k on it… but something about this model is screaming at me to upgrade and I hate it because I’m very frugal. I bought my current van for $24k with 45k on it and it’s supposedly worth $31k in today’s market, still a huge gap to bridge to add awd and subtract 65k miles. For now I’ll admire from afar.

Went to Virginia this past weekend to pick up my son’s new “MotoVan” . It’s a 1997 Toyota Granvia (JDM). Right hand drive, diesel, AWD, two sunroofs, electric curtains… very reasonably priced….

Seems like a very reasonable price. I had a 2018 Sprinter 170 2WD. If I was to buy another van, it would definitely be a Ford Transit.

Just a slight side Jack not a hijack here. I take your advice seriously.I’m thinking if Manny is going for the Ford gasser , that may be what I need rather than a Sprinter.Just curious why you chose this van .  I am retired and my average desert or mountain trips are usually at least 3 weeks , so I like the idea of being able to transfer van gas to the bikes and I know maintenance is cheaper and easier to find. Some of these extended trips would also include towing a small camping trailer. Thanks for the thread.
