If you had a company with advertisement money to spend would you spend it on the outdoor nationals knowing the web cast's might not even work?

I'd spend it on SX so people had to pay to only listen.

I'll take the free video over the pay for audio of sx anyday. Just saying.

you guys.... you would bitch if they were going to hang you with an old rope because you wanted a new one... and you have NO clue about webcasting.

Blaming this on Alli, the webcast HOST, meaning they have zero todo with pushing the webcast stream, they just have the site and the servers for us to connect to get the stream. thats it. they dont capture the video at the track from the truck, they dont capture the audio from weege. All they do is have hosting capabilites.

Now, at the track, I dont know what the issue is. We get the test sound, but the video is way subpar to normal. Taking an educated guess, because this happened to me during bookoo arenacross, they might have had the box used to capture the video and sound, mix it and stream it to Alli's server, take a dump! Then had to grab something to try to get things going, used a laptop, and found out the the onboard sound wasnt compatible to get the audo feeds in and mixed because the webcasting software doesnt recognise the sound hardware.

If I owned a large corporation, the outdoor nationals wouldn't even be on my list.

I love he sport but the reality that it would be a poor business decision to spend money on advertising at the outdoor nationals.

If they didn't do their homework before the gate drops people will bitch about it as they should. That's all stuff they should have done and had figured out before the first moto at G.H.

unless i did not care about the bottom line. the whole system needs
a update how in the heck could a race of only left turns get so much
more money thrown at it than moto?

Whatever their excuse is, if it's their job to bring us the race and they don't deliver for whatever reason, it's on them. It's their job to have all their ducks in a row. What passes for professionalism in mx would be laughed at in all other pro sports.

This is the thing...I am not going to get on the slamwagon here...but

Fans shouldn't have to worry about boxes and webcast equipment and all that-- any more than a football fan should worry about how a camera and sound system works.

You guys need to do your homework before you start your crying. The webcast video is pulled directly from the TV feed. The audio problem has zero to do with the webcast people hence now that the TV portion is done, we miraculously have sound.

Just like you don't go to a big race with one bike and no parts to fix the bikes, you shouldn't go to a big race you're working audio/video at with only one set of equipment for the audio/video equipment or at least the parts to fix it.

lol, come on, just admit your aggression was misplaced. EVERY company, and business in the world has problems....no matter what the precaution. Some times, you just can't fix it. Maybe it was some other circumstance that prevented it, something beyond their control? Do you blame you local dealer when the factory runs out of a certain part for your bike? I hope not, because it's not the dealers fault now is it?

Being a sponsor for the outdoor nationals is embarrassingly cheap.

I'd say it's paying off for Lucas Oil.

You're attitude is the same attitude this sport has and the same reason this sport wont get bigger.

If something goes wrong simply say, "Oh well, there was nothing we could do."

I'm sure the NFL wouldn't have the required equipment to fix everything.

I'm sure the NBA wouldn't have the required equipment to fix everything.

You mean like the NFL allowing a big screen to be hung low enough that punters hit it?

Yep, if you can't do it right, don't do it at all. Get someone who can.

Rumor has it someone stole the box...No one knows how they got out the gate, but someone finally ratted them out. They finally caught up with the guy in Morgantown. As you can tell, they got it back in time for the WMA, after LaMay’s mom went to get it from the police station.

Hitting the board made the sound on the T.V/internet out for the entire game and they couldn't fix it, or is that apples to oranges?

Look, for years motocross was run by an organization who put a guy like STEVE WHITELOCK in charge of racing. Remember when there was NO title sponsor for the nationals, and FMF had to step in?

it may take a while for Coombs and Co. to fix all the shit that has been done badly for so long. Im sure its hard to turn everything around in one year...

a lot more people have followed the nats this year because of the changes than probably ever before... i have not seen exact numbers, but i'd suspect that advertising the nats this year was a fantastic deal cost/vs exposure compared to previous years of the nats, and a much better "deal" than advertising in the sx series....

You are completely wrong. My attitude is, that I'd like to read threads on moto forums without having to wade through all the posts of people whining like little kids about something they can do nothing about. I agree it sucks not having everything perfect, but hey, what is perfect these days? Sitting behind a computer screen bitching about a problem you know NOTHING about solves nothing as does laying blame when you don't know who's at fault. People are so convinced it's this guys fault or that guys fault, but not one person here knows the real story, and until we do, whats the point of blaming anyone?

So that means we shouldn't hope or give advice on how it shoudl be better?

Got it.
