Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
450 would have been more Jett on the gate and for that alone it would have been cool. Career-wise I think it's a good idea to race less, get another title and then start on the 450 outdoors.
Exactly, this attitude amongst the motocross community is the reason the curtains close on these guys by there mid 20s
Racing west.
You cant talk negative about Jett here

It wouldn't change a thing.
IMO, Honda gets more value in him running the 250 SX class for one more season, plus he has a better chance of grabbing another title. Great ROI for Honda if he gets that done.
Besides, he's eligible and moving up for outdoors, so not sure what the big deal is that he's running one last season of 250 SX.
Is Vialle West?
East
Just think, Jett was probably just learning to ride a bicycle when Friese turned pro….
He should stay in the 250 class for as long as he wants , it's a pro class.
I bet you shit talk older people who work at grocery stores when they retire.
Jett still made plenty of mistakes last year. He didn’t dominate that series like we thought he would. He crashed plenty. Good move, let him presumably dominate the 250 series and then send him into 450 MX where he makes much less mistakes.
No but I do shit talk the punks sitting behind the counter scrolling twitter with one hand on their cock while I’m trying to buy some stamps
How do we quantify “elite talent” and bump said talent up? Hindsight is a mother effer!
Fans.
We all just want to watch great racing, right?
and the formula for great racing is having the best riders race together, right?
Jett is going to make everyone else in that division look silly.
how is this the best formula for creating the best racing? How can anyone get excited about watching him rinse the field unchallenged for five months?
Yep ^ end of discussion.
Plus I remember stew stating that he was glad he stayed down another year despite the ridicule.
Jett is young, another year on 250s will be good for him. 450 is a big machine
I'm glad his career path isn't my decision.
The elite of the elite in this sport were 3 and out of the 250 class
he’s good enough to do that too
Pit Row
I think he is still prone to some mistakes and one more year training/racing the 250 class will prepare him well. His family, agent, and Team have done a great job so far and I see no reason to question them at this point. I hope he does race West and then jumps on the 450 for some/all of the East rounds.
Thread title is dis-honest. At the very least, it should say..
"Honda Sandbagging 250 West"
...then you can go on to complain about elite riders "staying down" and all that...Martin Davalos racing 250s until he was 60...Christian Craig, too...yada, yada, yada...
But, at the end of the day, IDGAF. If Jett racing the 250 makes Honda -THE EMPLOYER- happy...? Good for them. They're gonna have 2 very capable dudes on their 450s. Honestly, I -LOVE- seeing Bad-Ass-Fast-Guys in both classes. Hell, I think they should run "Futures" during the night program. Even that class is impressive!
It’s a shame we won’t get to see him race Eli in SX
If Jett beats Eli, Chase and Dylan for the title next summer it would be huge for his legacy. Hey, it could feasibly happen.
I agree. I think he needs another year in the 250's. If he rode in the 450's like he did last year in the 250's, there is a good chance he would not be making it to the outdoors.
Eli is SX only.
Is that 100%?
How long was Malcolm on the 250s?
oh yeah….
Quite possibly your dumbest post ever, Johnny Ding dong. And that’s saying a lot.
the hell does Mookie have to do with this?
Did Malcolm go 3 for 4 in titles in a two year stretch? No, he didn’t.
I’m sorry, James was absolutely destroying people in the 125 class. Jett has been dominant but not like James was. And if history is a lesson, moving up too early can cause injuries and be detrimental. I think it’s smart to move up for outdoors, where the margin for error and consequences are, in general, more forgiving.
Both RV and rc went full-time 450 at 20. And 3 seasons.
Jett will be going full-time 450 at 19 and 3.5 seasons.
Also if jett wins this sx season he will be the only rider ever to win 4 125/250 championships in a row
