I heard from a dealer/owner that the rumor is the 2024 XC bikes were changing to a 6spd SX ratio transmissions. Has anyone in the know heard anything about this? I know myself I'm not a fan of the XC gear box this year, to me it feels more like an XCW.

So you “heard” of changes in a model 2 years from now …. Gotcha
The ‘24s will be announced in 5-6 months and at dealers in the summer. Where did you get 2 years?
Im sorry my crystal ball is in the shop
Which XC isn’t 6 speed now? My 350 is

The 450xcf’s are not 6 speed. Hence why some desert guys like myself put the 6th gear set from the EXC in them. Not sure if the newer engines will support that though.
In my opinion, the 450 XC-F should come from the factory with a close ratio 6 speed like the 300xc’s do.
Sounds like the old MXC
XC's are 6spds I didn't say that was changing, I was told the RATIOS are ie...gear spacing.
I also hear 24 xc will have spring cc fork setup (similar to 6500 carts) oem
That would be amazing, hopefully the sx does too.
Would be cool, not a fan of the xc gear box. Hate the xcw box, especially in two strokes and I actually prefer the sx for off-road of the 3.
I think if that happens and the 250xc goes from 10800 to say 11500 or higher KTM is slowly pricing themselves out of the market. That's just one bike, assuming they do it for all XC's the 4stk will be approaching 13 grand. The whole reason people buy 2stks is cost and ease of maint, when consumers can buy a YZ250X or Beta RR for several thousand less they won't pay that much for a KTM. At least most won't. I would guess the biggest majority of riders don't race so having $1300 cartridge inserts increasing the price that much more most riders will change brands. Hardcore racers/KTM fan bois won't of course, but these days how many of those are left?
I dropped my forks off yesterday for the 6500 kit, but I budgeted for it in case I didn't like the air forks. For about 7hrs I thought they were really good, then after that they got really harsh and were killing my shoulders and elbows. Felt like the initial break over point from where the fork would start to compress got really stiff. I tried resetting the clickers and adjusting the psi but the last two races I did it felt like when cornering the front-end was on the verge of washing out in every turn and deflected pretty bad.
