I’m a world of mass shootings almost
Daily I won’t go into any of those cases right now. Most
Of them have suspects either dead or in custody.
The tragedy that has me thinking is the stabbing of the 4 Idaho college kids. What is alarming is the idea that an extremely violent killer is still on the loose in a small Idaho college town. I’m pretty positive if I had a student there he/she would be home until this guy is caught.
I have been trying to figure out who it may be and the prime suspect in my eyes is the ex boyfriend of one of
The girls. They dated 5 years with a recent break up. They are claiming they were still “good friends “. Maybe that was in her mind and not his.
Anyway it’s a huge tragedy and this psycho needs to be caught before he strikes again.
Thoughts?

I just saw there was a mass shooting at a Walmart in Virginia.
The guy killed himself in the end. I don't get it.
This could take a while. There isn’t a huge amount of homicide investigations done in that area on the regular, especially multiple homicides like this.

She reached out to each of her professors (via email) yesterday and 2 of the 5 that got back so far were supportive and have online contingencies (coursework, finals, etc.) enabling the completion of the semester Dec. 9
She’s anticipating the same online availability for her remaining classes too. Regardless, she’s not going back to live there this year. We’ll worry about next year…next year.
We canceled the flights going back to campus Friday. She was going back a little early to attend the home game Apple Cup rivalry against U. of W. Saturday.
She’s still having difficulty with her sleep, but it’s much better than the first few days home last week. We’re grateful she’s home safe and we pray for some kind of peace/comfort for those families and friends directly affected. No words can express the uncertainty and sorrow the entire community (including families out of state) are experiencing 10 days later.
At first, police said it was an “individual, targeted attack, and that the community is safe”.
11 days later, no suspects, and law enforcement asking for tips and clues.
Tragic and CRAZY on all levels.
Killing someone with a knife is gory, and requires intent. Killing four people is unthinkable.
One being treated differently, therefore being regarded as a “targeted attack”.
Law enforcement will not disclose who the targeted individual was, nor what distinguished them from the others.
As they have “no new information”, this story starts to drop off the radar….
All six people were back in the house by 1:45, at least one person texting until 2:45 or so, murders at 3:00 am.
Two other roommates had been in the house the entire time, find the roommates around noon on Saturday and call friends who then come to the crime scene, THEN the 911 call was made because “I think my roommate is unconscious”, and this is what the police respond to.
Police do not regard the two roommates, person receiving the text messages at 2:45 am, or other students who responded to the scene prior to the 911 call as “suspects”.
It’s an odd story as the other two room mates never heard four of their friends being stabbed to death?
It’s possible I suppose.
This is definitely a bizarre story. And I have little faith in the police so far. They have made some mistakes already.
Where are the cameras at? Shouldn’t there be cameras all over the place?
I’m sure they will be looking at cell phone data of everyone who was in that area. There is probably a cell tower nearby that the killers phone would have picked up. Start there and look at every cell phone that connected between 3-5am.
The killer could have turned his phone off. But he may not be that smart. After all, he likely didn’t realize there were two other room mates there.
It’s definitely not random. And I have a feeling it’s someone they know, or they atleast crossed paths with.
Not to mention, manage to get to different parts of the house/rooms all without making any noise.
How does no one wake up?
It's fucked up!
U of I is my alma mater. Have family that owns businesses in Moscow. One of them has footage of 2 of the girls on his cameras less than 2 hours before this happened. He’s turned it over of course.
So odd that they seem to think it was targeted but almost 2 weeks later no suspect or anyone in custody? If they are that confident it’s targeted it seems they’d have a decent idea who did it?
I wonder if they crossed paths with someone at the bar. Clearly they were followed. Or stalked. The killer had to know when they went to bed. Which was around 2:30-3:00am.
That alone is interesting. Because that means the killer had to know they were asleep. Come to early they are awake still. Come too late and you could run into early risers in the area.
So the timing was very specific on that night. That would indicate someone close or intimately knowledgeable of their night and when they went to bed.
I’m betting the farm on the ex boyfriend.
Moscow Police Chief James Frye was asked Wednesday if his officers were “looking into any possible connection” to the “unsolved double stabbing” of Travis and Jamilyn Juetten about 400 miles away in Salem in August last year.
That case, the reporter noted, also involved “two people stabbed in their home in the middle of the night, long knife, no suspect at this point,” much like the off-campus quadruple slaying in Moscow on Nov. 13."

Looks like they arrested a suspect:

Pit Row
Almost seems like he couldn't get a volunteer to commit murder and document their "feelings" for his thesis...so he just did it his self.
So sad.
It’s a crazy World we live in.
It sounds like Idaho law will prevent the authorities from saying much at all about it untilhe goes to court. Rightly so.
They arrested him in Pennsylvania, so unless he freely goes to Idaho, it might be a while getting him extradited.
They seemed very confident that they got their man.
He will be in Idaho asap, at least after the 3rd. This case has had so much attention and money thrown at it.
Attention and money shouldn’t circumvent due process of the law.
Are they circumventing due process by having him extradited to Idaho by the 3rd?
The extradition hearing is the 3rd. He won’t be in Idaho by the 3rd, but he could be shortly after that.
I just heard an ex CIA guy say "That's what smart criminals do, try to get the officials thinking. "
The dude was a grad school criminalologist.
Just read a report that he is waiving his extradition hearing so he will be sent to Idaho fairly soon.
He can waive or not waive his extradition. He’s going back to Idaho soon enough.
There is nothing to fight here. He’s going back soon.
Sad, but also likely true…..
pretty fucking wild now that we learn he was a student at WSU and went back to class as usual after murdering 4 people. pretty sick shit.
glad your daughter stayed safe and i'm sure this is shaking her up, how could it not?
also pretty interesting one of the pieces of evidence was his Bluetooth trying to connect to the router device in the house. probably forgot to turn off his smart watch or was his car close enough that his stereo pinged the router? also they said they found his DNA in the house (doesn't mention what, skin, semen, blood, etc) and used a 3rd party ancestry match to narrow it down to him.
glad they caught this sick bastard, now hope they throw the book at his ass. those poor families and friends affected.
