Missiles hitting Poland too? That wasn't a good idea. Winter was some sort of chance for Russia to focus on training and supplying troops without constantly fighting and aggressive force.
If Poland steps in I imagine all of NATO is, war is over.

There's speculation it could have been fragments from a missile Ukraine intercepted. We'll see what happens.

Edit: doesn't seem likely given the destruction that resulted.

I read the Polish town is 40 miles from the border? This could be very, very bad.

Usually they are firing from planes over Black sea or Caspian Sea. Range is over 1000 miles.

I just heard it`s 6.7 km or less than 5 miles.

This could get messy real fast. Nowadays the accidental death of people in the building NEXT to the one targeted is a big deal. 5 miles away from the target is either gross incompetence or deliberate.

I hope it's just a mistake and they admit to it. Otherwise, I stand 100% by the NATO promise. I do realize that means an ugly prospect but enough is a fucking 'nough.

I normally never think to look at the thumbs up/down thing. I saw my previous post got a couple of downs. That's cool but I would like to know how my opinion is so divergent. I can only believe that there are folks that don't believe we should be in NATO or not fully commit to it's obligations. If you'd care to comment...feel free.

Another "fake" news report? Next, they'll say the Ukrainian's did it to bring NATO into the fight. Or Biden did it on Hillary's behest...fuck me.

Zelenskyy let convicts serve and fight. What’s the difference?

Kakubo called on the Russian authorities to provide further details regarding the recruitment of Nyirenda and how he ended up fighting in Ukraine.

According to Kakubo, Nyirenda was convicted and sentenced to nine years at Tyer medium security facility on the outskirts of the Russian capital in April 2020.

It remains unclear what charges Nyirenda was convicted of.

Kakubo couldn’t have been too concerned about a foreign national being imprisoned if he didn’t have a clue about the details after a couple years. Now they are?

Early photos of the debris looks to me like a S-300 missile which is what the Ukrainians are using for anti air-defence.

in case it was intentional from the Russians I could see two entirely different reasons for it:
The only active power line from Poland to Ukraine is only 4-5 km away from the blast site. 15 targets relates to power were hit in Ukraine today, so it’s not unlikely it was a target.

The second reason is: Putin is losing this war. If he pulls out now, the Russians will see him as a weak and failed leader that could not even beat the “farmers in Ukraine”. If nato went in however, the Russians would not want to see their sons and husbands being cannon fodder and would want them to pull out, and Putin could once again go on about blaming the west.

Purely speculations and my thoughts of course.

If it was a Ukrainian air defense missile...I hope they admit it. Bad damn luck and whatever. Anything to prevent the next level of shit this could go to.

The Poles aren't ultimately gonna blame Ukraine. If Russia wasn't being shit heads... Ukraine wouldn't be firing missiles.

Luckily the Poles hate the Russians even more than they hate Ukrainians.

Could the missiles have originated in Belarus?
I would assume if Biden is saying it likely isn't Russian than he has intelligence saying these were air defense missiles fired by Ukraine that missed their target. If the intelligence was saying Belarus he'd say so. We already have sanctions against Belarus as they're aiding Russia.

Still not good at all, but better than Russian missiles.
