Looks pretty good apart from the whoops I'd say.

Can't tell much from a video of him riding around by himself but I honestly thought he looked pretty slow....corners were "meh" and he's not aggressive through the jumps/rhythms.

I'm not trying to bash on him, I'm 100% certain he'll get better over time.

Yeah I meant "good" more as looking fine and not overly stiff or scared (apart from the whoops). He's taking it easy I guess. He just started to ride SX without whoops like 10 days ago and if he does East Coast he has like 3 months to go

He's got some time, but needs to loosen up a bit (looks very tight) and his whoop speed will be exposed if it doesn't improve. Super excited to see him here in SX and as long as he's not hurt going in to outdoors, he's going to be a lot of fun to watch.

As above, just survive SX this year Tom!

He’s French. Did Pourcel look fast? Looks can be deciving.

But yeah, he looks slow in the whoops, but so does Webb and he got two 450 titles in some strange way.

Size and posture wise he's got a similar style to Webb on the bike. Doesn't seem like he's pushing by any means, but it'll be exciting to see how he progresses through the year.

Seems okay. At that speed he's inside the top 10. But if he gets more confidence in the whoops and attacks the rhythms more aggressively he'll be possibly top 3.

Nah...but someday I hope I can be as cool as the vitard video "coaches" that can tell everything that a pro is doing wrong by watching a video....priceless....

I went to Pala to ride today. I think I spent more time watching the pros practicing then I actually did riding. Lots of guys taking it easy through the whoops, or even just going around them. Pretty smart in my opinion. Ease into Supercross so not to crash yourself out before the season even starts.

He may not be aggressive and fast, but he looks damn smooth and in control. The speed will come. Even in the whoops, very tidy. Must be such a crazy transition from his last few years. After a season of outdoors, I forget how little time they are actually on the ground in Supercross in those rhythms. Good on him, hope he does well and the team gives him the time he needs.

Funny, I didn’t see anyone offering any coaching tips?

Just folks offering an opinion on a discussion forum.

Is that not ok with you?

Qualified opinions no less….the kid is on day two on a SX track…nice edit on your original post…

I guess I see it differently than most of y’all. I’m pretty impressed for a kid who just started riding Supercross.

What the fuck point are you trying to prove?

Who are you to say who’s qualified?

How exactly does one get qualified to have an opinion?

Please explain oh master of all that is motocross.

And yeah, I edited my post so you wouldn’t cry. It’s pretty clear you get you little feelers hurt all to easy.

Grow up ya Swap wannabe.

Hard to take too much from a video of a guy riding SX on his own, think the main thing for Vialle is that he doesn’t expect too much of himself. He’s two time world champion and that carries some weight and people are going to expect him to win races, especially outdoors, but there’s always an adjustment period. Kenny, Marv and Ferrandis have all had very successful careers racing in the US but none of them really had outstanding first seasons. If Vialle can be Top 5 in points indoors and out then I think that will be a good solid season to build from

Vialle will finish top 3 outdoors, probably even winning the MX championship, but SX is NOT MX.

He needs to ride as much SX as he can

It’s so crazy to read all these comments. If you want a real SX experience don’t go to one of the races. Go to a Supercross practice track and watch for the day like I did yesterday. In person, up close (closer then you’ll ever be at a stadium event), hear the bikes, watch the riders. It’s fucking impressive! To say that Tom looked slow is one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in a long time.

What are you even doing here ? all you do is throwing shit at all the "vitards" always. I like some of your videos but why are you posting here and talks shit about all the other motocross enthusiast ? when in fact you could be contributing with some cool insider info instead.

Jett Lawrence is moving to the 450 outdoors correct ?
I think Vialle wins the 250 outdoor title barring getting injured in SX .

That seems to be a French thing they all look so smooth that they don’t look like they’re going fast but then set the fastest lap times. That’s why Weege always called Pourcel the sneaky French man lol .

Wonder how long he will keep doing starts with his left foot on the footpeg? He is one of the best starters in MX2 and has shown it can work.

Both Musquin and Roczen did left foot up starts when they first started racing in the US and both converted to two feet down a couple of years ago, like most of the US riders.

As a motocross trainer, I teach both techniques and offer them as a personal preference.

I hope he keeps the left foot up starts. Time will tell...

Exactly what I thought, no ability to make an intelligent thought.

Answer the question since you have positioned yourself to be so smart.

How does one get qualified to have an opinion?

Do you need to go ask permission from your industry bros first?
