Not to steal that other thread, but if Chad clinches early, we've asked Speed for permission to switch the same-day Saturday night programming schedule to feature the 250 title chase instead of the 450s, starting with Southwick. The Pourcel-Dungey thing is going down to the wire, and throw in Barcia, Weimer, Wharton, Metty, Tommy Searle, etc... and you have some pretty interesting action out there.
Stay tuned.

Great idea DC on moving to the 250's.
A little pre race video on what Pourcel has done would also be good. We are lucky to have him here.

I was amazed to see people heading for the exits last weekend as the second 250 moto lined up.

Spectator fail.

If it were easier to get in and out of some these tracks people might stay. I used to leave early when the crowds were bigger, but the past few years the crowds have been so light that we stay for it all and normally just pull right out and head home. I only go to High Point and Steel City to qualify my statement.

well after watching the total beat down that Pourcel put on the field in the first moto and then seeing him pull the holeshot and check out after 2 laps in the 2nd was enough for some.....

Heck, maybe Reed would run in the 250 class after clinching after all if the 250s get the live coverage. It would be better for his sponsors.

try leaving Hangtown after the final race. Its ridiculous! There are 3 exits for thousands of cars. This year I only watched the first 2 laps of the second 450 moto and left in order to beat the traffic.

Geez...who is Grendel and why is he important all of a sudden?

The Internet has become incestuous....refers to itself and reveres itself...apparently now all public opinion comes from a keyboard.

Behold the Internet...driver of all things...alpha and omega...the Godhead.

You think finishing 3rd ( or worse maybe) would be good for him or his sponsors?

Another slap in the face for Reed. He pulls your ass out of the moto fire then you shaft him on the door step of his maiden title. I wonder if DC would pull this stunt if RC was winning every moto.

Paul, you can't be that stupid, can you?

The races are still on TV, but the same-day coverage goes to the championship battle, not the one that's already decided. And this week, when he likely clinches, it will be on live NBC network.... Wow, how you got something personal out of that is downright frightening. When RC was winning every moto, we didn't have the same opportunities that we do now, and this move makes sense for motocross. Period.

How exactly is this any kind of "Reed" thing?

Oh, I forgot you tend to grasp at any straw available to mount some kind of lame azz attack on MX Sports or DC.

As usual, you only end up looking like a dope.

I'm not as stupid as thinking of pulling the main show in favour of the tiddler battle.

Awesome move. Good to know that with power in the right hands, things can be changed/improved mid-series!

So when the "main show" is wrapped up and done weeks before the series is done, you'd still find the "main show" more exciting than a 250 series that could go right down to the last moto of that series?

Answer that wrong and it'll be clear how stupid you are.

Paul, it's not "pulled," it's switched. And the first motos in both classes will still be shown live on www.allisports.com. It wouldn't matter if Ashley Fiolek had somehow clinched the 450 class ahead of all the guys, or David Bailey clinched early in the Comeback of All-Time, or two of the Monster Girls riding double (both blondes of course) and clinching the 450 class with two races to go, I would vote to switch to the drama in the other championship class for the same-day coverage, and show the 450s a couple of days later....

Chad did wonders for the series, and we are all deeply appreciative of that. We are glad he came out and showed everyone just how fast, tough and entertaining he now is on an outdoor track.

DC....no need to defend moving the tv coverage as it's clear what this clown's agenda is.

250 and 450 classes are equal classes outdoors. There is no "premiere" class. That is why MX is not gay and SX is gay.

Thanks DC, at least someone is thinking about the big picture. Now if you could only even up the classes with equal displacement racing. 250 VS 250 and just make the big boy class open to all displacements.
