Seems kinda odd as I always thought he was employed by TLD/GasGas as an employee.

Long time friends. I think WIL has some freedom in his program... Maybe also only certain things he can work on.

But I can at least vouch they are good friends through our entire youth racing the Oklahoma State Series.

Nope, that was with another french rider Stephane Roncada (factory kawi i believe at the time)
