I am looking for recommendations for dirt bike pants that are the most durable specifically at the inner knee area. I keep rubbing a whole through my pants until it shows my knee pads (not knee braces) where i squeeze my legs against the bike. I guess i need the entire knee area to be leather or something ahah. I recently purchased a pair of o'neal mayhem hex lite pants and after one ride I worn them down a good bit already where the leather is sewn to the fabric.

I don't think you'll go wrong getting anything from the FLY Kinetic line. The pants are durable AF in my experience using them in XC races and MX. Little heavier than most, but that's expected with the thicker materials they use.

I have not been impressed with FOX Racing 360 (OR 180) gear for a few years. Their 360 stuff used to wear like iron, but those days seems to be gone.

I still buy it because it's what I know/fit, but know that's it's not so tough in my Vet MX & trail riding experience.

Gear durability I have been impressed with in recent-ish years is:
(1) Moose Sahara gear
(2) Troy Lee Designs (I bought previous year clearance gear, the colors in the navy blue pants faded significantly, but the gear is durable it seems)

Klim Dakar has to be the most durable stuff out there I would say. Not my bag anymore but I ran it for many years.

Thanks everyone for the input so far. Sounds like the weight of the material itself makes the pants durable compared to just large sections of leather what I thought would make pants durable.

My vote would be FXR, by far the most durable pant I've worn. Its a little on the pricier side but well worth it imo. The fit is also incredible as well. I believe keefer gives out a discount code on his podcast

Another vote for the fly kinetic pants. I've got about 100 hous on the kinetic mesh version and while they are looking a bit faded and tired, there is not a single tear or hole. The leather patch on the inside of the knee is thicker than my on my fox or troy lee pants, and has just a tiny shiny spot where my knee braces rub. My fox 180 pants have holes through the leather patches in the same spot after maybe half the use and a bunch of tears in the mesh fabric around the knee and lower leg. The leather patch on my troy lee pants are showing sign of wear in that spot after a few rides.

Older Fox 360 stuff was fantastic. It would go out of style long before it wore out. Recently, I have good luck with TLD pants. Comfortable, stays nice looking and has worn very well.

Troy Lee SE. Their top line pants are heavy duty. I have a few pair that are several years old. Thick and durable.
