Ninja Warrior? If you do, how do you think any of the top american MOTOCROSS racers would compete at the top level of ANW?

I'm not sure if any of em could complete a full advanced course shown on TV. Some of that shit looks pretty difficult.

Ninja Warrior athletes train a lot of upper body, specially back, shoulder and arms/grip strength, while pro mx rider focus a lot on lower body and cardio. Training is way different. Ninja warrior contestants train months for these specific events, therefore it's a really weird question tbh. Incredible what 9 days without racing can do to peoples mind. Laughing

They might get about as far on the ninja course as a ninja would a SX track.... The consequences for failure might be a bit different though.

Most of the good ninja warriors came from the rock climbing world since the most difficult challenges are upper body intensive. A moto rider has the potential to be good at ANW but would need to do specific training.

In DV's whiskey throttle interview he said that JMB used rock climbing to cross train for moto. I don't know why more guys don't, nothing trains your grip and forearms like climbing and the mental benefit is huge too. The Bostrom bros were big into climbing back around the turn of the century but haven't seen other pro motorcyclist using it even as climbing has make huge gains in popularity in the last 20 years.

I’m pretty sure more people watch that than MX/SC.

I once knew a Yosemite rock climbing valley dweller from the 70s before he found a crashed plane full of weed in a eastern sierra lake that helped fund his photo career….I digress that dude could do one handed pull-ups using door frames molding for as long as he wanted it seemed Google Vern Clevenger

Love that show, killer but corny at the same time.

I would assume top mx athletes would perform terribly, since obstacle courses are their own discipline, and one that is increasingly competed by specialists. The only athletes from other disciplines that seem to be remotely competitive are from closely related sports: generally climbers and freerunners.
