FIM have published the WSX racing rules on track cutting etc which at least are pre-determined & clear and not left up to interpretation by some official at the time.

Yeah, the part that is left to interpretation is the 'gaining an advantage", whether they gained positions or not. This rule set doesn't address what an 'advantage' is, so I assume that is still left up to the discretion of race officials.

But yeah, same penalties that supercross proper already has outside of entering the mechanics area from the exit.

For all the UK bros...why would they go to Cardiff? It's not the last place in UK I would put a race but it doesnt seem like the 1st. Is there a hardcore moto culture there or some badass stadium?
Badass Stadium , they run the Speedway GP in there, it has loads of room under the stadium for parking and the like for the teams, and its available as it isnt used for Football or Rugby on a weekly basis.

I live in the centre of England and its 2.5 hours tops from here, maybe 3 hours from Manchester and Liverpool and the same from London.

NEC in Birmingham could do it, but that is just a big Arena Cross now, they wont use the big halls for SX.

Any idea why they are not the level 1 seats? Based on stadium capacity, I assume level 1 is lower tier? that's 23,000 seats not going to be used?

It’s interesting that MDK has chosen not to win with Bogle.

Heard on a podcast that they aren't using them due to safety regulations

I think hartranft is out. I don't think he has rode since injuring his ankle. And he got married this weekend.
Marshall welten was at the wedding also and looked pretty trashed. Good prep if he is racing. So I wouldn't be surprised if he is also out.
Is Adam enticknap healthy? He would be a good replacement.

Bogle is definitely in to the guy who questioned.

Why does there need to be speculation ? Shouldn't these injuries and replacements be announced ?

A lot happened this week so teams were trying to figure it out.

I just got one of them officially to release, it’ll be up in a couple mins.

I would think the casual fans would account for 75 % of ticket sales.
Even hard core mx fans may take their whole family to see it, rather than going alone.

Does anyone know how the tickets sales are going? I am hoping they have a big turn out to keep the excitement level up, sounds like a lot of the Vital UK members are going. Keep us informed on what's happing and if anyone has any estimates on turn out for the race. Cool

I agree and I think if they get the family's and casuals fan to the race that it will be a success and they will want to go back the next year.Cool

I had a look at the seats available on the stadium map on Ticketmaster, seems fairly full. Also heard as of a few weeks ago they had sold over 35,000 seats so far.

Hi Mate,

was that for Cardiff or Melbourne? All I know is that I'm flying from Perth for both nights of the Aus sx series Friday night and the WSX Saturday night and I cant wait!

Awesome, hope they sell it out !! 35K seats so far is good as I would bet they sell at least that many more the rest of the week and on Saturday and its a great race that will carry on to the Aussi round.
