I just got back from a week long trip at Pismo Beach with a few of my friends and had a

blast! The weather was good and so were the dunes. It got really windy for the last

couple days of the trip and it made for smooth dunes and great riding. I took tons of

photos and here are a few of my favorites. Please check them out and let me know what

you think.

very cool. I learned to ride a motorcycle in the dunes, and still love it to this day.

Haven't been to Pismo in 20 years. Glamis maybe 5 ago.

Good stuff. Is the whip mandatory now? Last I was at Glamis, only for Quads and Buggies, trucks etc.

Might have been for bikes, but I didn't see many with whips on bikes.

by whip, do you mean a flag? If you are, then ya, its pretty much mandatory. If you dont then you get fined by the rangers. I dont know about Glamis, but in Pismo its a must.

Cool pictures.

Pismo's fun, but I can't imagine being there for a week, the eco-nazi's have reduced it's size down so considerably you end up riding the same stuff over and over again.

Coos Bay Oregon area- that rocks for multiple days. I'll have to try out Glamis one of these days. But given the short drive to Pismo for me, we'll end up there in 2010 for certain- maybe even toward the end of 09.

Sledneck- yes the flag's mandatory.

haha.. ya, Pismo does seem to be getting smaller and smaller and more and more people are going. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends with a bunch of goons and tourists with rental quads.

Nice pic's. Love that place, been many years since we rode there, before they closed most of it.

Use to launch jet skis right off the beach just north of the dunes. doubt you can still do that.

As for the flag, better check the rules for there, but in Glamis it MUST be mounted to the bike or vehicle. Big no no and another reason to pull you over.

we use these; Last time I checked they didn't have any for the 500's, so we made our own.

hmm.. well my friends run the same flag setup in Pismo and Glamis. We just buy a cheap flag and then find holes in the back of our chest protectors to slide the flag through and it just sticks there. We don't get questioned or pulled over by the rangers about it at all. No problems.

there is a speed limit on the beach.. but go into the dunes and you can rail as fast as you want .. I have hit some 4th gear WFO jumps out there.

just gotta look out for the squirrels on the quads and buggies Blink

umm.. its patrolled by park rangers all the time. They only call in police for a crash or if they need to arrest someone. There are only speed limits on the beach. Its like 15 mph and you can't do wheelies or do donuts. Everywhere else is free game pretty much.

haha.. ya. There are tons of goons out there. We found an 80 ft. kicker right in the front of the dunes and tons of goons showed up and started riding around by the landing of the jump. So.. we didnt stay there very long. We would just move on to another jump and hope that they didnt follow us.

it took us like 4 and a half hours to get home. I'll put a bunch more of them up, but my internet company puts a limit on how much info you can upload per day. I'll have most of them up whenever I have a chance to get to Gus's house.
