Still rides for fox, Red Bull, and is contracted through wsx to race the two rounds so he's not unemployed. Just lost a contract.

Yeah no way he could just buy a bike or take one of the 5 dozen he has standing around.
He could take his 16 RMZ out of the shed and probably beat everyone but Tomac (at WSX that is)

Didn't Hunter recently re-sign with Honda? Did Jett too? If not Jett can ask for the moon.

That's what I was thinking but pretty sure he signed already. If not he probably may want to renegotiate a bit lol

Did they have to offer Chase a lot more money to stay or something?

Woah man, thanks for shedding some light on this.

And yeah, I'm sure that's exactly what he's looking for, careerwise.

MCR is logical fit for Roczen. WSX; SX; Redbull and Gear Deal, will do anything to help him win.

Honda owes Kenny nothing. They stuck by him during illness, injuries… you name it.

As far as Chase goes, heard he’s off to KTM. Epic loss for Honda as he will have more titles than Jett. That’s my bet, Jack!

Well, KTM and Star are both looking a little light in the 450 class for next year... He'll have some irons in the fire and be on a quality bike for sure. Top 3-4 guy with race winning capability.

He’s “committed” to WSX…WSX has had a replica of his bike on display at their pressers.
“Committed” sounds like he’s -contractually- committed. That’s my assumption.
I’d also assume Red Bull has expectations here, too.

Straight Rythm: a Red Bull event…at the Beach…in Cali…they’re gonna want him there.

As for Honda? I can’t see how they’d want to…
1. Pay for supporting this with bikes/staff (they’d want to get paid)
2. Risk their “highly compensated rider” at these extraneous events.
3. Want him FOCUSED on SX (here).

There’s a coupl’a opportunities for him to ride a Honda IF they’re willing to pay to build him an HRC level bike.

Based on what I’d guess he’s getting paid, he/Red Bull need(s) to find a way to lease HRC bikes from Honda.

At Straight Rythm he needs to ride whatever he can get and test. Where’s the bike he rode last time?

Edit/Post Note: As I listen to the entire interview AGAIN...he was offering to buy/lease the necessary hardware...and...I'm thinking Honda-Japan said..."No". I'm of the mind-set that Honda-Japan isn't interested in "the additional expenses" for this series...at this time. Racing budgets are getting EXTREMELY tight right now. So, they are likely not interested signing him -before- he goes out and takes these additional risks...risks that they don't support.

KR may ride for "American Honda"; but, American Honda works for Honda-Japan (the parent company).

Chase Sexton is already contracted to Honda for 2023. Supposedly both Star and KTM have each made offers on his services in 2024 though. Honda has first right of refusal and can counter both. I don't think you'll see Chase make a decision soon though...

If we are talking strictly results, I’d pick two guys over Kenny that are(I think) free agents. The best part is you could probably get those guys on a two year deal for what it would cost to get Kenny for one year. Yes, Kenny will win a race here or there but I mean point totals they have guys id pick over Kenny. Kenny does have value in marketing and that’s what his team will show I am sure.
What 2 free agents are ahead of Kenny? I’ll wait…

Correct. They already have Christian Craig and Malcolm Stewart as well for 450s.

and its not just Honda, team sponsors like Dunlop and Showa would have to send technicians to run there factory stuff,

I don't think its as easy as Ken put it on the podcast, I just wanted a couple of motors and a ecu, these things do just lie around waiting, they will be testing and finalising the 23 stuff now for delivery in time for the new season

We’re obviously talking about right now. What 2 free agents out there would do better than Kenny in a full season in 2023. By the way he’s completed 5 out of the last 6 series and finished 2-4 every time.

You can’t find 2.

Also? Look at Anderson. He hadn’t won a race for almost 5 years, switched teams and wins 9 rounds this year combined. Last year people on here were saying he should retire and that his 2018 title was a lucky season.

There’s zero reason a happy Kenny couldn’t switch teams and real off multiple wins in each series while grabbing his sponsors a ton of camera time.

Wish the best for Ken. I'll always be a fan.

He just needs to step away from social media.

I agree, but who has space and budget, , Yamaha full, KTM group full, Kawasaki Full, a team like MCR may be his only option,

hes still a race winner indoors and out, and it would suck not to see him out there next year,

I'd have to imagine there's far more to the story, KR94 isn't simply the innocent victim here.

He committed himself to a competing SX series that his sponsor wasn't committed to supplying equipment for, a series that is actually attempting to conflict/compete against the series he's paid to race .

Yeah, Honda probably did have an issue with it.

Just got an interesting message from a solid source. Honda didn't rescind the offer, Ken just turned it down.
