I usually don't complain about anything , but I can't watch most of the videos you put in there. They are Instagram vids ( which I don't have ) and for myself , it won't let me even view them. They used too allow it , but now days if you don't have that or facebook , some of us can't view these things. I'm not into using a lot of this social media stuff , but love this sport......just having a hard time being able to watch stuff here any more.

I do not have any social media accounts, the Instagram clips all played for me. The last two weeks worth of social scoops. But I have at times seen here and other places on the interwebs some times not all the twitter or instagram clips work.

Of course not. Why would you ask a stupid question like that? I asked if we could get clips from something that doesn't require an account. Like I said , I don't have Instagram and the videos used to play for me , but last few months something changed. I can pull it up from my phone , but for some reason neither of my home PC's will play these vids. I didn't change or upgrade anything........they just stopped working.

The links are directly embedded from instagram. Not sure what you expect ML to do to get around that.

Just setup a blank Instagram account.

OP implied that he couldn’t watch any of the Insta videos because he didn’t have insta. Again I’m not sure what you would expect ML to do here? Nothing dickish about that response.

If you have instagram yet can’t watch them is there another issue at play? Is there an error displayed?

Never worked for me either before I had IG. Never a big social media guy myself but unfortunately to get any kind of info for tracks or mx news you’re forced into it.

They always work for me and I don’t have any social media accounts.

Unfortunately there’s no other places for ML or anyone else to pull as much “social” scoop videos from then “social” media. But I get your gripe, it’s just unfortunately the way of the world currently.

Keep it up ML I enjoy all the content.

Sometimes you need to clear your browser cookies and cache or update your browser to the latest version to get IG embeds to appear. Certain VPN services also interfere with it.

Outside of doing that or creating an IG account there is nothing I can do. It’s their embed code and your browser taht have to work together. I can’t modify the feature in anyway to allow it to be viewable beyond its own parameters,

I have the same issue. However, the videos that do not require you to visit IG will still play...the ones that require you to view on IG will not. I didn't have an issue in the past, but appears the brown-shirts want to lock out non-users from viewing content.

I refuse to create an account...even a "blank" account.

Fuckerberg can blow himself. Same goes for Farcebook and Twatter. Social disease media. I can live without.

On a desktop, it shouldn't require an account and you should be able to watch them without issue. I am on a Mac and it works using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. Try out what ML suggested, and/or try a different browser.

If you are on your phone, that's a whole other different situation.

Thanks man for the advice. I'll try doing some of that and see what happens. Not sure why all of a sudden I can't watch any of them. Used to work just fine , so I'll try your remedies and see what happens. Thanks for putting all them up as well.

I've used desktop/laptop (PC). Cleared cache and IG cookies... then tried three different browsers. Still won't work.

Oddly, I've found that the first time I click and am taken to the actual IG page, the video will play. The 2nd time or visiting another IG page....it will not. Somehow it seems to reset daily to this behavior. It's literally a once a day hit wonder.

Not sure why some of the vids force you to go to actual IG page anyway.

I have the same issues as the op. It wasn't as bad when Insta was photo based, now with their move to be more tiktok-ish it makes social scoop less enjoyable. But that's on me as I choose not to social media.

Yep , that is what has always happened to me as well. I could only watch once and that was it. Even if I closed the page and re-opened it , it won't let me watch it again. Now , it won't let me watch it at all. I just cleared my cookies and still won't work. Everything is updated as well. I use windows / firefox as far as that goes.

I'm in the same boat as jeffro. I also don't use Facebook or Instagram but when I can't watch the video I just move on. That's part of not having those. Just like sweet marketplace deals I can't open.. I enjoy the content I do get to see when they are posted because we do miss alot not scrolling through those platforms but I also like my sanity and have made the choice not to partake.

Crazy I experienced something along the same lines when getting sent Twitter links and I check them on my work computer.

I wonder if it's tracking IPs and since I check my Instagram through my home wifi on my router it's associating the two and allowing it.

I work in software/web development and I hate the way software/web development is going. The whole point of the internet back in the day was to share information freely. Now it's just how can we make money off our users.

Well man , ML has always said that if there was an issue , to bring it up to him. He's always been real good at jumping on things and getting them fixed. And I completely understand that some things are out of his control , and I'm cool with that. But I at least wanted to bring it to his attention and see if something could be done.

Another weird thing is this. I can open and play " some " of them. Other ones won't allow me too. So yeah , that's a little confusing.

Same here. All I have is Facebook and 90% of the time get to see the video. If I try a second time it says I have to be logged into Instagram. You can often find the same videos on Twitter even if you don't have an account. I only have Facebook to keep up with family. Otherwise I'd delete it.
