Ryan D. is one of the rare humans in the world where on a piece of paper, he belongs to his wife, children and family and yes that is true, however, for all of the right reasons, he belongs to a much bigger world. He isnt a cocky, son of a b**** actor, sports star or movie star or anything remotely like that. He is the antithesis to all that is wrong with the sports world.

I would hope that Lindsey didnt hold it against Ryan for coming back. He is a direct inspiration that we can see, touch and listen to that can make us all desire to be better versions of ourselves and in a world of thieving misguiding/misguided preachers and politicians and cocky S.O.B.s, Ryan has stayed the same classy, involved and humble spirit.

I will definitely miss him, again in this sport.
Nicely put.

I think it was great seeing him back and i think he did an amazing job. I also remember when Jason Lawrence was making fun of him i told my son that in 10 years Dungey will be one of the greats and Lawrence wont even be remembered by half the people that watch motocross.

Why do you keep coming back every time you get booted? Take the hint for God's sake...

So who takes Dungey's spot outdoors next year if Webb opts out again?
Cairoli.
But the old man expects some pay.

All about business huh?

Dungey and AC222 were the top KTM riders outdoors.

Dungey isn’t coming back. Or isn’t wanted back. AC222 didn’t come back or wasn’t wanted back.

Not sure those are good business decisions by Decoster or whoever runs things.

Think of all the guys we have seen on a Factory KTM this season. AP7 is the only one that did SX and MX. Everyone else did one or the other. I guess they should have brought Chad in for 1 or 2 rounds.

Plessinger had 3 podiums in '21 with Star Yamaha

Just saw the short interview with Decoster. He was asked what it was like to have Dungey back and he said “It was a lot easier and more laid back.” When asked if Dungey could race for KTM in 2023, he said no, he could come back as a test rider, but not as a racer. I found it really odd. It was ALMOST like he didn’t want Dungey there. I remember he begged Dungey not to retire and now it’s different. Very strange vibe he gave off.
It didn't come across that harsh at all.

Dungey had a look on his face like KTM had just told him "Ya, thanks but no thanks for 23'".....

With the new races, Dungey should have tons of options... I mean if old Hill and Josh Grant have rides, Dungey is multiple levels faster than them... but his multiple champ price tag will make it hard for teams to sign him....

Dungey did not seem happy in that vid.... we'll see how this works out... I hope he retires from moto (again).. he's given enough to this sport already... go race the TORC series... go race UTVs... he's a racer, he should be racing.. but IMO he should be racing a series where his life isn't on the line quite so much....

Didn’t he say he wants to move to the south. Get situated. Sounds like he may ride for another brand

I wonder if his contract was a swing and a miss. Performance contract weighted heavily on podiums? At the end of all that suffering he has little to show for it?????

I am just glad he did it, i was watching him, not the leaders and he made it interesting a few times. Legend for sure!!!! Glad he made amends with ktm, but it seems ktm just chews you up and sends you out to pasture. If there ever was a brand ambassador, its RD.

It does seem strange to go from seemingly all in for 2023 to I'm done in such a short period. In trying to read his body language and words...he said twice that coming back while being in Minnesota was "turn key". Makes me wonder if KTM didn't give him the same ultimatum as Webb, and that to continue racing with the team would mean living in Florida and training at the Baker's factory...??? Hate to see him go again, but for him, distant 5th place finishes would probably be as much fun as riding a teeter-totter by yourself.
