When Eli first turned pro I was instantly digging the first win and the way he would go into early versions of beast mode.

When he got into the 450 class and was a legit threat to Dungey and most times faster I was still pulling for Dungey to win the championships.

After Dungey retired I was ready to watch Eli dominate SX/MX for the foreseeable future but he started to have the freak Eli things happen and took way too long to get his first SX title. By the time he got that SX title I was a huge critic and all I could see is what could have been.

He goes to Star and is rejuvenated this year and while I like Chase and was a Honda guy from way back in the 80's and 90's I find myself again rooting for Eli. I actually jumped out of my chair when he passed Chase back in moto 1.

Maybe I just prefer the veteran guy over the up and comer. I hope Eli wins this series but no matter who wins this is the best outdoor season ever.

I’ve been a fan of his most of his career and if this is indeed his last outdoor season it’d be nice for him to go out on top, but if Sexton takes it the kid has certainly earned it. Tomac though through the years and this season when on has me shaking my head at how fast he can go through a damn corner.

I'll be honest I hated that guy back in 2017/18/19. Not because his personality or something like that, no.. I hated him because anytime I thought one of my favourite racers would win (Kenny, Marv), out of out of nowhere he started making up 3-4 seconds per lap in the second half of races just to blew by them like they were standing still. He might be the most exciting rider ever, just in terms of late race charges.
And I'm really happy that I got to see his whole career. I also can't believe that after all these years he can still go this fast (and even has his best year ever 8 years into his 450 career). Even crazier this year that he also has good starts on top of that. It's actually mindblowing that Sexton can go with him.
Sometimes I wish that Kenny didn't have his injuries back then so we could witnessed a lot more Eli vs Kenny battles.

I hope somehow that he still decides in favor of one more mx season next year, I don't wanna believe that this was his last mx season..

Eli does things to a motorcycle that nobody else does. He’s got a great personality too, all business and respect. Hard not to be a huge fan. He’s something special.

Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. That’s the bigger story imo. From mountain biking legend to MX greatness.

I’m an Eli fan but I’ve got concerns for him:
A. Chase really good at Pala
B. He’s never been in this situation to wrap up a title.. he’s always been able to back it down to bring a title home. This will be a true test as he’ll need 2 good starts and will need to execute for 70 minutes at 200%.
