ET and Chase will have to have just about a perfect event for us to have a chance, imo. Cooper just doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence for me, at least.

Very fair point, and I don’t think it’s at all out of the realm of possibilities that he can get a hole shot and finish top 10. Guess I just don’t love placing so much importance on that hole shot - because if he doesn’t get one, I’m just not sure he’s going to be able to ride forward. But agreed on your point, I can see the other side of it, too…but scary to be putting all of our eggs in the “hole shot or nothing” basket

That's about where I had him 14th OA for the day granted he had no issues.
Speed wise he fared better though just a bit outside the the top 10 before his mishap.
Impressive.

That race almost always relies on the stars aligning for your team. If you went back and looked at the two runs the USA had we got a little lucky quite a few times. I appreciate your point of view. I'm just being optimistic Smile

Maybe Deegan did have a bike issue that caused him to crash. Seems okay but still could not ride the bike back.

Tomac won his first national. I think Windham got second in one of his first ever motos.

Heck even Gosseler had one good moto his first outing…
