Hell yeah ! Podcast entertainer, excellent TV guy, now manager? Stoked for him !
And like RC said, he has valuable LCQ expertise to help the brigade...
Can anyone elaborate if he also gets perks for his kid?
Congrats again !

This kinda surprises me.
He seems to have a lot on his plate.
Eagle grit, Podcasts, commentating, being a parent.
Dude must have 30 hours a day and 8 days in a week.

Good for him, wonder how this affects his broadcast deal. Granted that’s only supercross so shouldn’t conflict too much.

He has sold Eagle Grit, so there's one less job.

Those kids will need the LCQ experience if they go through the KTM 250 class program Pinch

There have been plenty of people that work for OEM commentating before.

He said he’s sold or offloaded day to day of eagle grit. That was earlier this year. He moved clear across the country alongside this job, so I think he’s pretty all in on the path.

DB is awesome and he will do a great job. I do find it funny though how much he's openly stated that he hates Loretta's and will never go there, and now he will be all in and living there every year.

DB is a great example of 80% of success in life is just showing up.

There is nothing in his resume that I know of that would suggest he can manage the amateur development program for KTM. I'm sure the KTM brass sees that as well, but they also see a guy who goes all in on every project he takes on and figures out how to get it done. I have no idea if he will end up building a successful race program but it's safe to say those kids will all be better off for being exposed to his work ethic and drive.

Agree entirely, yeah he knows everyone but he doesn't just soak up the 'scene' and try and make himself out to be a big deal, he puts the work in and gets things done and he knows the sport inside out, that's what we like to see.

Hope it goes well for him, sure he'll be just fine.

I think its a good fit. Daniel has the experience and know's what's needed to develop the youngsters for the Pro ranks. Here's hoping KTM gives him a decent budget to work with.

Wish him all tbe best.

As well as the budget, which is a good point, I'm hoping they let him do things the way he wants to without too much micro managing or "we do this part of the job this way, so that's how it needs to be done". Clearly the old program wasn't perfect with some amateurs wanting no part of it... or the impending 250 meat grinder / being setup for failure that followed with KTM in the US.

DB feels like the kind of guy who can get the best out of the young uns and turn the negative parts of the KTM mentality around, hopefully it can spread to the 250's as, pending Vialle kicking ass, it seems they need some help there too.
