Vegas 2 Reno Qualifying

Had Time Trials in Primm, NV today to qualify for start position for tomorrow's 500 mile (now 400 miles due to flooding) Best in The Desert race from Beatty, NV outside of Vegas all the way up Dayton, NV just outside of Reno. Ended up 2nd behind Husqvarna's Dalton Shirey and ahead of the rest of the 8 rider Open Pro field including Skyler Howes and Factory Beta!

Average speed tomorrow will be in the 60+ MPH covering 500 miles is about 8 hours across the Nevada desert with a 5:45am start.

Good luck! It's bar none my favorite race I've done. I ran it iron man on a 650R. What a day!

Here's some footage from the big race. We had a major issue just before the start at 5:30AM with coolant leaking out of the plastic T inside the frame. We did the best we could to fix it but my teammate ended up crashing pretty hard about halfway through while battling for the lead on adjsuted time and he banged up his shoulder pretty good and also rebroke the T so we were losing a lot of coolant the rest of the race. Luckily he'll be alright and we made it to the finish but we were having a good run up to that point!

Not my friend haha. But it felt like a normal practice day at Glen Helen getting sprayed by a water truck - nothing I haven't experienced before!
