There has been a bunch of “ non American” riders come over and will SX titles. Get over yourself.
I have been over myself for a long time. I hope you can recover, and get over me. Good luck👍

I just want to see him HEALTHY for the outdoors, and see the best he has. I don’t want to see him limp into the outdoors with a stupid Supercross injury. How awesome would it be if he and Jett could race each other next year, both healthy. Of course Jett will probably be on a 450 next year?

If you think about it, moto families pay hundreds of thousands-sometimes a million dollars to develop their kid from age 5 to age 17. They do this on the slim hope that a spot will be available on a 250F team. There’s aleady only 10-12 spots available total on real teams. To then find out that your kid never had a shot anyway because the manufacturer could just pick a more “boutique” rider from France or whatever is a real punch in the face. Mind you, the whole AMA SX/MX series is propped up by American fan attendance and American sales of items through American advertising. Why even allow a foreigner to come and take the money and opportunity out of the pocket of an American? It makes no sense to me
There's always the Indian SX series for the kids who ain't good enough to earn a factory ride....or privateer it like many do.

Entitlement? Nah this has nothing to do with asking for a handout. It’s fair to think that Americans should anticipate some ROI. Foreign riders should have to get a work visa like everyone else. We don’t just allow European specialty workers to come in and take American technical jobs at their own free choosing. Border patrol implements strict enforcement. But there is a loophole allowing racers to come. Need to change visa laws !
I bet Talladega Nights gave you nightmares huh?

The P - 1 Visa is required for foreign athletes and a O - 1 for Indusrtry people.

MxSPORTSRACING - The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is the world’s premier motocross racing series. As the exclusive professional motocross program in the U.S. sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing (American Motorcyclist Association), the series features the world’s fastest racers competing on the most renowned racetracks in the country.

(7) Requirements for foreigners. If a foreign rider wants an AMA Pro Supercross or motocross license, he doesn’t need to go through the Supercross Futures or Pro-AM process. Instead, he only needs to submit an AMA rider release form from his home country’s motorcycle federation stating that the federation agrees that the rider has the competence and ability to compete in professional Supercross and/or motocross.

Stop being such a pussy and move on.

Vialle will be a front runner from the start in the nationals. Glad to have GP riders join our series.

I know that was a response to some other grumpy bastard, but it was interesting to read, thanks 👍 I never gave much thought to that side of it, so it's cool to hear a little overview.

As for foreigners, a lot of us foreigners pay for coverage of the AMA races inside and out, a lot of us care more about it and follow it way closer than our national series or MXGP, and a lot of foreign riders have contributed to some of the best supercross and motocross races ever, don't know why anyone would complain about it, it's good for us all.

Hey, in for a penny in for a pound, close the door to anything non-American. Let's see how well American Motocross does with Tomac riding a Monster Engery Boss Hoss, Sexton on a Monster Energy Harley, and Anderson on a Monster Energy Rokon.

Oh, dude honestly with the smallest modicum of protectionism you would have 15-20 quality American Mx manufacturers pop up overnight. Look at the bicycle/mtb industry in the US. If any investor saw even a small chance of competing you would have a totally different level of participation

If you don’t like what someone has to say: better try and start a quarrel / conflict with them. When in reality, you’re the one violating the forum policy for bullying / creating personal dispute

I try very hard to not be a total asswipe here and life in general. I disagree with lots of folks and I'm sure they feel the same about me.

Niceties out of the way...your attitude is reflective of the devisive wave that is troubling the country. If you want to rail against the American corporations that send jobs overseas to increase profits...get after it. But, motocross, in this country, was kick started and prodded into life by "foreign" riders. Motocross as a sport has never been about nationality...it's a zen thing. The melding of man and machine conquering track and competition.

There is no room in the sport or the board for your attitude. Unless I am greatly mistaken, your voluntarily departure would be widely appreciated.

If a foreign rider is faster, then they deserve a spot on the team. Look at it like you would an at-will employee. They voluntarily agree to work for a agreed amount of money, provide sufficient abilities to accomplish their job satisfactorily, and can -- without explanation -- be let go, replaced, and a new person hired.

And mind you, when a foreign rider comes over, they live in the United States and spend their money here which goes to our economy so it's not like they are dead weight stealing from us. Here in the United States, we welcome any legal entrance into the United States since we are a big melting pot of races, ethnicity, beliefs, etc.

I've said it before, here and elsewhere, when the guys are lined up here at the gate, they're American motocross racers.
No matter their country of origin.

I'm missing "our" 450 national champion out there racing this year.
And seriously enjoy all of the riders coming up through the 250 class.

The best motocross is happening right here in the AMA series.
It's not surprising that this is the destination for guys like, Roczen, Ferrandis, the Lawrence brothers, and others.

The narrowminded shitbags who troll here only out themselves as just that, shitbags.

I totally agree with you... But when people on this forum get on my ass for only rooting for American riders I don't understand it. That's how sports work. you root for your team or player and root against the team you don't like. There's a lot of give everyone a trophy on this forum. Its almost golf like where you just root for everyone and I hate golf guys

If and when the day comes that the gates at our Nationals are full of foreign riders I figure we fucked up somewhere. Almost wonder if that new WSX series might lead to that. The fast Euros might head over if our outdoors is super depleted. Who knows?
